Under the direct leadership and guidance of the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 2, as well as the Party Committee and Command of Division 355, the Party Committee of Regiment 82 has consistently been proactive, united, and innovative in striving to fulfill the targets set out in its Party Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 term.

Notably, the regiment has effectively led and directed the strict implementation of directives and resolutions from higher authorities regarding combat readiness, ensuring preparedness to face up to new situations. The regiment has prioritized education and awareness-raising for officers and soldiers regarding the schemes and tactics of hostile forces and the regiment’s assigned duties. It has closely coordinated with other forces to grasp the situation, establish, modify or adjust plans and strategies, ensure sufficient logistical support, and conduct high-quality training exercises to respond to unexpected situations.
By thoroughly grasping and implementing resolutions of the Central Military Commission and orders from Military Region 2 and Division 355 regarding combat training, Regiment 82 has proactively prepared training plans in alignment with principles, and guidelines. The unit has emphasized synchronized and specialized training, prioritizing practical drills, officer development, and mastery of weaponry and equipment. Training has included nighttime operations, mobility exercises, scenario-based training, and physical conditioning for troops. As a result, 100% of officers have been trained according to their assigned levels, with 86% achieving good or excellent ratings (exceeding the target by 6%). All training content met required standards, with 86.26% rated as good or excellent (an increase of 0.32%). The regiment has participated in and organized competitions and military games with outstanding results, securing 22 awards and medals at the Military Region level and eight awards at the Division level.

The Party Committee of the regiment has successfully led efforts in preparing and conducting military exercises at all levels, achieving excellent technical results, commendable tactical performance, and absolute safety in personnel and equipment. All officers are now proficient in applying information technology in their tasks. Additionally, military diplomacy with Division 3 of the Lao People’s Army has been strengthened.
With the guiding principles of “Democracy - Discipline - Innovation”, the Party Committee of Regiment 82 is committed to building a politically, ideologically, ethically, and organizationally strong Party unit for the 2025-2030 term. The regiment aims to become a comprehensively strong and exemplary unit, serving as a highly mobile force for the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 2, and Division 355. To achieve this, the Party Committee will focus on three key breakthroughs: Innovating and enhancing the quality of training and exercises to meet modern combat conditions; advancing standardization and discipline management; and promoting administrative reforms and digital transformation within the regiment. The regiment’s chains-of-command will also work to strengthen the advisory capacity of its staff and uphold the responsibility and exemplary role of officers and Party members, especially key commanders at all levels.

Addressing the congress, Senior Colonel Nguyễn Công Phương, Political Commissar of Division 355, emphasized the need to strengthen leadership measures to enhance the regiment’s combat readiness and capability to meet all operational requirements. He particularly stressed the importance of raising awareness of hostile forces’ schemes and tactics, fostering revolutionary vigilance among troops, and focusing on the breakthrough initiative of “Innovating and improving training quality to meet modern combat conditions”. He also called for efforts to build a strong Party unit in terms of political affairs, ideology, and ethics.

With a spirit of democracy and responsibility, the congress unanimously elected a new 15-member Party Executive Committee and selected 23 delegates to attend the higher-level Party Congress.
