ĐBP - On the morning of Jan 5, under the chair of Lê Văn Lương, Deputy Secretary of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial People’s Committee met to agree on the draft growth scenario and the program and solutions for direction and administration in 2026. Accordingly, in 2026, Điện Biên province determined to strive for an ambitious gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth target of 10.5%.

ĐBP - In 2025, Điện Biên’s industrial sector recorded a year of notable progress, marked by stronger growth, steadily improved infrastructure and the continued effective development of key industries. These results reaffirm the increasingly important role of industry as a major driver of the province’s GRDP growth.

ĐBP - Identifying that livestock farming plays an important role in economic development and bringing income for people, recently the Điện Biên provincial agricultural sector has actively applied scientific and technical advances in production.

ĐBP - Following the adoption of the two-tier local government model, the expansion of commune boundaries has left many highland villages far from commune centers, while transport infrastructure remains fragmented and underdeveloped, hindering mobility and socio-economic growth. Against this backdrop, for the 2025-2030 term, Điện Biên province has identified the prioritization of resources for completing and upgrading transport infrastructure, particularly at the grassroots level, as a key breakthrough to drive development.

ĐBP - Recently, Party committees and authorities at all levels in Điện Biên province have proactively innovated leadership and executive methods, strengthening dialogue and direct contact with the people and businesses. Thereby, timely grasping thoughts and aspirations, removing bottlenecks to accelerate the progress of works and projects in the area.
