ĐBP - After the heavy rains and floods at the end of July and early August, Tàng Phon hamlet (Nậm Kè commune, Điện Biên province) was almost completely isolated. The more than 20km dirt road from the commune center to the hamlet was already difficult to travel; in the rainy season, it became even more muddy, slippery, and cut off. Overcoming hardships, commune officials and border guards tirelessly climbed hills and crossed streams to transport materials to the hamlet, rebuilding homes for poor residents in this border area.
