On behalf of provincial leaders, Party Secretary Trần Quốc Cường extended his warmest greetings to the venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers on the occasion of Vesak and the upcoming Retreat Season. He praised the positive contributions made by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the local Buddhist community in strengthening national unity, promoting “a good life and a beautiful spiritual path” and actively participating in patriotic movements, charity work, and humanitarian activities - all of which have helped advance the province’s socio-economic development.

Venerable Thích Nhuận Thanh, Deputy Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Điện Biên province, expressed his sincere appreciation for the attention and warm wishes from the provincial leadership and local authorities. He noted that as the country celebrates key historical milestones - 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, and 71 years of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory - the Sangha remains committed to social welfare efforts during Vesak 2569 and the 2025 Retreat Season.

In this spirit, the Sangha has been distributing gifts to underprivileged communities, including financial support worth nearly VND 300 million to help a former youth volunteer in difficult circumstances in Him Lam ward, Điện Biên Phủ city, build a house.
Looking ahead, Venerable Thích Nhuận Thanh affirmed that the Sangha and the province’s monastic and lay Buddhists will continue standing shoulder to shoulder with the Party and local authorities to promote meaningful spiritual and social activities, contributing to a peaceful and fulfilling life for all.
