Secretary Trần Quốc Cường expressed his pleasure at receiving the leadership of Niinuma Vietnam Co., Ltd. and welcomed them to Điện Biên. Cường provided an overview of the province's potential and advantages in the development of agriculture and forestry, especially in the field of high-tech agriculture. In recent years, Điện Biên province has focused on promoting the application of science and technology in agricultural production, although the scale has still been modest.

With the goal of expanding and improving the effectiveness of agricultural production, the Điện Biên leader proposed cooperation with Niinuma Vietnam Co., Ltd. in implementing high-tech agriculture projects, focusing on crops such as vegetables, flowers, and fruit trees. The province also expressed interest in having the company transfer technology and modern production processes to support local cooperatives and businesses in achieving sustainable development in this sector.

Minowa YuYa shared that during this visit to Điện Biên, the company aims to introduce its smart tomato cultivation model - a project that has been successfully implemented in Măng Đen town, Kon Tum Province. This variety of tomato is known for its high sweetness and superior quality, especially suitable for areas with large temperature differences between day and night. The company hopes that Điện Biên will provide conditions for trial cultivation and eventually establish a long-term collaboration to expand this model in the region.

On April 25, the leadership of Niinuma Vietnam Co., Ltd. will have a detailed working session with the Điện Biên provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment.
