Inspection Delegation No.1911 works with Standing Board of Điện Biên provincial Party Committee

ĐBP - On March 23, Inspection Delegation No.1911 of the Politburo and the Secretariat, led by comrade Lê Hoài Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office, had a working session with Điện Biên province to present the Draft Report on the inspection results of the delegation regarding the Standing Board of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee.

Receiving and working with the inspection delegation, on behalf of Điện Biên province were comrades: Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Mùa A Sơn, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and Lò Văn Phương, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council.

The draft report of Inspection Delegation No.1911 clearly stated that the Standing Board of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee had seriously complied with and provided leadership and direction to relevant party organizations and units to coordinate with the inspection delegation, preparing and providing reports and documents as required. The board promptly adjusted and supplemented information, reports, and explanations to clarify issues raised during the inspection process. The Standing Board strictly implemented Directive No.35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024, of the Politburo on the Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, as well as Conclusion No.118-KL/TW; Resolution No.57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; and effectively carried out Conclusion No.123-KL/TW.

At the same time, the preparation of congress documents was conducted seriously and systematically; the restructuring of the organizational apparatus was carried out in accordance with the Party Central Committee’s regulations, resulting in the reduction of professional departments (a decrease of 150 departments), as well as a reduction in leadership positions (19 sector-level leaders and 350 department-level leaders and equivalent positions reduced).

On behalf of the Standing Board, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Trần Quốc Cường agreed with the contents of the draft inspection report and the evaluations and comments of the inspection delegation. He also provided explanations and clarified additional achievements in various fields. Based on the shortcomings and limitations pointed out by the delegation, the Secretary requested members of the Standing Board to seriously acknowledge, draw lessons, develop plans to lead and implement corrective measures, and propose appropriate solutions to improve the effectiveness of implementing the Party Central Committee’s Resolutions, Directives, and Conclusions in the time ahead.

The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee also urged the Politburo and the Secretariat to prioritize and allocate resources to invest in key transportation infrastructure projects, particularly Phase 1 of the Sơn La - Điện Biên - Tây Trang Border Gate Expressway project. Additionally, he requested early issuance of special policies and prioritization of resources to develop border gate infrastructure, especially the prompt upgrade of the A Pa Chải - Long Phú border crossing into a bilateral border gate to promote border economy development for localities and neighboring provinces.

Speaking at the event, comrade Lê Hoài Trung acknowledged and highly appreciated the seriousness and proactivity of the Standing Board of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee in leading and directing the implementation of the Party Central Committee’s Resolutions, Directives, and Conclusions. He requested the Standing Board to continue strengthening inspection and supervision of the implementation of these directives and resolutions. Regarding the province’s explanations and proposals, the delegation would take note and consolidate them to finalize the draft report.
