The Party Committee of the Department of Home Affairs was formed following the merger of the Party Committees of the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor, War invalids and Social affairs. It now oversees 11 Party cells with a total of 120 members. Right after the merger, the Committee reviewed and adjusted the schedule for the 2025 - 2027 Party Cell congresses and the 2025 - 2030 Party Committee Congress. Timelines and key milestones were updated to reflect the new structure, with instructions issued to all Party Cells to expedite preparations. A model congress was successfully held earlier at the Party Cell of the Division for Organization, Staffing, and Non-governmental Organization Affairs. According to the plan, the remaining Party Cells will complete their congresses by April 2025.
Nguyễn Tiến Đạt, Party Secretary and Director of the Department of Home Affairs, said that due to the recent merger, the unit’s 2025 - 2030 Party Congress will focus on two main contents: reviewing the implementation of the previous term’s resolution, and setting out directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for the new term. Delegates will also discuss and contribute to the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress, the department’s Party Congress, and higher-level congresses. Elections for the new Executive Board, Standing Board, Party Secretary, and Deputy Secretary for the 2025 - 2030 term will be appointed by the provincial Party Committee. Over the past few months, the Committee has directed its subcommittees to complete their assigned tasks in line with the schedule.

The congress theme has been identified as “Continue reforming leadership approaches; foster unity, democracy, discipline, integrity, and accountability among Party members; stay committed to fulfilling political tasks and building a clean, strong, and resilient Party Committee”.
According to Đạt, the congress’s action motto is: “Solidarity - Discipline - Expertise – Professionalism.” The committee has basically finalized the draft political report and self-assessment report of the Executive Board. After one final round of feedback, the documents subcommittee will revise and complete the reports for submission to the provincial Party Committee. Preparations for the agenda, program, and presentations at the congress are also being finalized under the committee’s direction to ensure quality and effectiveness.
To raise awareness among Party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers about the significance of the 2025 - 2030 congress, the department has intensified its communications campaign to unify thought and action and foster collective strength. The campaign will run in three phases: before, during, and after the congress. Communication efforts include Party meetings, professional briefings, thematic discussions, articles and news updates, uploading documents and materials to the department’s official website, and displaying banners and slogans celebrating the event.
In celebration of Party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, the department has launched an emulation movement aimed at inspiring patriotism, national pride, and a spirit of self-reliance. The movement seeks to spark widespread enthusiasm across all sectors, striving to successfully achieve the set goals.
