Throughout the province, various organizations, units, and individuals are spreading the spirit of patriotism in different ways, all contributing to reigniting national pride and strengthening community bonds.
At Hoa Ban Kindergarten in Điện Biên Phủ city, classrooms, hallways, and common areas are decorated with the bright red of the national flag. This unique display is one of the many ways the school is fostering a sense of national pride. During extracurricular activities, students listen attentively as their teachers share stories of Vietnam’s victories, especially the historic events of April 30, using pictures and models placed throughout the schoolyard. Dressed in the vibrant colors of the national flag, the children enthusiastically participate in storytelling, painting pictures of the flag, the map of Vietnam, and soldiers, while also performing songs and dances that honor the homeland, creating a lively atmosphere full of energy and patriotism.

Phạm Thị Lợi, the school principal, shared that for young children, the concept of “loving the country” is still abstract. By watching videos about the nation's history, role-playing as soldiers, and experiencing life as a little soldier dressed in the red and yellow flag, these small actions help instill a deep love for the homeland and gratitude for its sacrifices in their young hearts.
On the streets, the city is adorned with flags, banners, slogans, and propaganda posters that further enhance the celebratory atmosphere of the approaching national holiday.
In line with the festive mood, numerous cafes, shops, and shopping centers have been decorated with the vibrant red of the national flag, a sacred symbol of patriotism and national pride, since the beginning of April.

The owners of these establishments have skillfully arranged decorations, turning each corner into a meaningful space. Common decorative items include the national flag, the Party flag, the flag of the Southern Liberation Front, along with slogans and posters. Some cafes even display the unified map of Vietnam or images of tanks, evoking the spirit of the victory.
At the “Hôm Nào” cafe, the owner, Nguyễn Hải Yến, carefully designed the space to balance historical respect with modern trends. She and her staff meticulously arranged the layout, ensuring that the Vietnamese map and national flags were correctly displayed with dignity and respect. The cafe features vibrant photo spots that combine a national spirit with a modern touch, attracting many young people to visit and take photos.
Not only is the space beautifully decorated, but even the drinks (coffee, tea, and juices) are creatively served with slogans that spread the spirit of patriotism and love for the country, such as “Proud of Vietnam” and “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom,” reflecting the meticulous attention to detail.

Yến shared: “Since we decorated the cafe with the red and yellow flag theme to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and Reunification of Vietnam, our customer traffic has increased significantly. People come not only to enjoy drinks but also to experience the atmosphere, enthusiastically taking photos and videos, checking in to capture meaningful moments. With our primary customers being young people, I hope we can help spread the tradition of history, national pride, and the value of peace among the younger generation.”
In Điện Biên, during this April filled with flags and flowers, the city is not only beautiful for its external appearance but also for the deep soul and history that it holds. The meaningful activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of South Liberation and National Reunification Day reflect the spirit of gratitude and national pride, helping to spread historical values within the community, especially among the youth. April 30 is not only a holiday but a moment for everyone to reflect on the glorious past, cherish the present peace, and look forward to a bright future.
