Welcoming the Waryu Japan Co., Ltd. delegation to explore investment opportunities in Điện Biên, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Trần Tiến Dũng introduced an overview of the province’s potentials and strengths in various fields. The provincial Party Secretary stated that Điện Biên is a province with significant potential and strengths for developing agricultural and forestry production, tourism, and renewable energy. Recently, cooperation relations between Điện Biên province and Japanese partners have achieved positive results. Experts and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam frequently visit and work in Điện Biên province within the framework of cooperation programs and projects between the two sides. Japanese partners have provided the province with significant capital support in the fields of agriculture, rural development, health, education, etc., which have practical and effective significance for socio-economic development.

Điện Biên province wishes for Japanese organizations and individuals to visit and explore cooperation and investment opportunities in high-tech application agriculture for crop groups (vegetables, flowers, fruit trees); green eco-tourism; strengthening support and transfer of high-tech techniques and science in agriculture; and transferring technology and production processes for high-tech vegetables, flowers, and fruit trees to cooperatives and enterprises. In particular, interest is shown in some Japanese grape varieties that have been trial-planted in Sơn La province. The company’s investment field is very suitable for the province’s orientation. Điện Biên province commits to creating the most favorable conditions regarding administrative procedures, sites, and support mechanisms according to the law; and timely resolving difficulties and obstacles of investors during implementation so that the project can be deployed right at the beginning of 2026.
