To achieve these successes in the province’s media, the contribution of the members of the Journalists’ Association is crucial. As a political, social, and professional organization, over the years, the Journalists’ Association has made great efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges; focused on innovating the content and methods of operation in a practical, effective, and member-focused direction. The association frequently coordinates with the leaders of media agencies to conduct good political and ideological education for the members; organizing the thorough study and implementation of the Party’s resolutions, the Journalism Law, the 10 ethical principles for Vietnamese journalists, and correcting any inappropriate actions related to the use of social media by journalists. Many journalistic works have been published with timeliness, in-depth research, and suggestions for practical solutions in many areas. One author won the Encouragement Award in the National Journalism Award, two authors won the C Award for journalism on Party building, and two authors won a first prize for protecting the ideological foundation of the Party organized by the People’s Army Newspaper in cooperation with the Vietnam Journalists’ Association…

For society, the provincial Journalists’ Association, its branches, and members have been actively engaged in community-oriented activities such as building boarding schools, providing flood relief donations, supporting families of martyrs… showing the social responsibility of journalists.

In the era of the country’s growth, journalism nationwide, and Điện Biên journalism in particular, are facing many intertwined opportunities and challenges. The fourth industrial revolution, the explosion of information and communication technology, and the unpredictable fluctuations of the global situation are raising ever-higher demands for the press, requiring media agencies and the Journalists’ Association of the province to continue to innovate, be creative, and effectively promote their important role in guiding and leading public opinion. The association regularly understands the thoughts and aspirations of its members, focuses on addressing and recommending solutions to limitations and shortcomings, helping branches and media agencies strengthen unity to accomplish their tasks.
