At the Memorial Temple on the historic Điện Biên Phủ battlefield, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Party General Secretary Tô Lâm and the delegation offered incense and observed a moment of silence to honor the immense sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, outstanding sons and daughters of the nation who fought and died for national liberation, construction, and defense. Before the spirits of the fallen, the delegates pledged unity and continued dedication to the national tradition of “remembering the source of the water we drink,” working together to build a prosperous, integrated, and developing country, and a strong, enduring Vietnam.

At the A1 Martyrs’ Cemetery, Party General Secretary Tô Lâm and delegates laid wreaths, offered incense at the central monument, and lit incense at individual graves of the martyrs.

During his visit to war veteran Phạm Văn Ngân’s family in Điện Biên Phủ ward, Party General Secretary Tô Lâm kindly inquired about the family’s health, living conditions, and economic situation. He expressed deep appreciation for their sacrifices and contributions, recognizing them as representative of countless families who gave so much for the revolution.
