Mường Nhé Party Committee gears up for inaugural congress

ĐBP - The Party congresses for the 2025-2030 term mark a broad and significant political event across the entire Party, armed forces, and people. In that same spirit, immediately after its establishment and official operation, the Mường Nhé commune Party Committee quickly began preparations for its first congress.

With a proactive, serious, and determined approach, the Party Committee of Mường Nhé commune is focusing on completing all necessary preparations to ensure its first congress is held on schedule and in line with the directives of the Central Party Committee and the province.

Mường Nhé commune was established through the merger of three former communes: Mường Nhé, Nậm Vì, and Chung Chải. The Mường Nhé commune Party Committee officially began operation on July 1, with 61 subordinate Party organizations, including three Party committees and 58 grassroots cells in villages and schools, totaling 1,002 members. Of these, the three newly formed committees include the Party Committee of Party agencies, the Party Committee of the commune People’s Committee, and the commune Police Party Committee. By June 30, all 58 grassroots Party cells unaffected by the merger had completed their congresses. The three Party committees formed after July 1, 2025, are now finalizing preparations for their own congresses.

The commune Party Committee has issued a plan to organize its first congress for the 2025-2030 term. Subcommittees have been established, and specific responsibilities have been assigned to each member of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee to manage every aspect of the event’s preparation.

Tạ Văn Sơn, Secretary of the Mường Nhé commune Party Committee, briefs and assigns specific tasks to each member of the Standing Board of the committee to ensure thorough preparations for the commune’s first Party Congress.

For the first Party Congress of Mường Nhé commune, a key task identified is the drafting of a comprehensive and accurate political report closely aligned with the local realities following the merger.

Tạ Văn Sơn, Secretary of the Mường Nhé commune Party Committee, explained: “Setting targets and tasks for socio-economic development is a priority because the commune’s area, population, and development potential have expanded significantly after the merger. Therefore, the drafting process is being carried out carefully and thoroughly, with all targets backed by data and concrete evidence to ensure they are feasible in practice.”

Immediately after the merger, the Mường Nhé commune People’s Committee quickly reviewed and prepared an assessment report on socio-economic development for the first half of 2025. The commune currently has over 100 hectares of irrigated rice, 500 hectares of upland rice, 400 hectares of maize, and 300 hectares of cassava. In terms of industrial crops, Mường Nhé has nearly 500 hectares of rubber - about 300 hectares already in production - and more than 400 hectares of cinnamon.

Based on this, the commune has drawn up an economic development plan for the remainder of 2025 and for the 2025-2030 period. The plan focuses on maintaining stable food crop areas while expanding key industrial crops such as cinnamon, sugarcane, and coffee. By 2030, the commune aims to cultivate about 1,500 hectares of cinnamon, 500-700 hectares of sugarcane, and 500 hectares of coffee, establishing itself as a significant agricultural production zone for the province.

In parallel with agricultural development, Mường Nhé places strong emphasis on vocational training and job creation for rural workers. With a population of over 24,300 people, including a large number of residents working outside the province, the commune views this workforce as an important resource for generating stable income and fostering long-term growth.

During the 2025-2030 period, Mường Nhé will focus on early labor orientation and vocational training policies that align with practical needs. The goal is not only to improve the quality of the local agricultural workforce but also to expand opportunities for higher-income jobs in enterprises both within and beyond the province.

In Party building, the commune is prioritizing the recruitment of new members and strengthening the quality of grassroots Party cells, especially those in border areas and those with few members. Currently, the commune has 1,002 Party members; its goal for the 2025-2030 period is to admit over 200 additional members, further reinforcing the Party’s grassroots structure.

Alongside finalizing the political report, supporting subcommittees, including those in charge of communications, logistics, and ceremonial arrangement, are working intensively to complete all preparations for the first Party Congress of Mường Nhé commune for the 2025-2030 term. According to provincial directives, all communes must finalize congress documents by July 20 to proceed to the next stage. Secretary Tạ Văn Sơn noted: “Despite the many challenges facing the newly established commune, our officials and subcommittees have been working without days off to meet deadlines. According to plan, the three Party committees formed on July 1 will hold their congresses in July. The first Congress of the Mường Nhé commune Party Committee is expected to take place in mid-August.”

Thorough and methodical preparations are laying a solid foundation for the successful first congress of the Mường Nhé commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, opening a new stage of development with high expectations for the locality.
