The meeting was attended by Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Secretary of the Military Party Committee of the province; and Major General Nguyễn Văn Xuân, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2; among others.

In the first half of 2025, the Military Party Committee of the province led the provincial armed forces to successfully complete many key tasks. Notably, they advised and directed the armed forces to maintain a high level of combat readiness, coordinated to maintain political security in the region, and advised on implementing local military and defense tasks. They also effectively carried out disaster prevention and relief missions. The quality of training, combat readiness, and discipline-building showed significant improvements, with 100% of training results meeting the required standards, and 83% of them classified as good or excellent.

Based on the forecast for the second half of the year, the Military Party Committee of the province identified 8 groups of tasks and solutions to focus on. These include continuing to advise and implement the military and defense tasks for 2025, preparing for the Vietnam-Laos-China border defense cooperation conference in Mường Nhé, and ensuring that the Party’s directives on border defense are strictly followed. Additionally, it will organize training exercises for combat readiness plans and ensure that the defense area command and the Border Guard Command operate effectively. The implementation of the political education reform project and Project 1371, along with a specialized resolution on digital transformation in the provincial armed forces, will also be prioritized. Timely leadership will be provided to ensure adequate logistics, technical, and financial support for all tasks. The committee will also ensure the effective implementation of new Party-building documents from the Central Government and the preparation for the upcoming Party congresses at all levels.

In his speech at the conference, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Trần Quốc Cường, along with Major General Nguyễn Văn Xuân, highly praised the achievements of the Military Party Committee of the province in the first half of the year, particularly in providing realistic and timely advice for the province’s successful military and defense operations.

To effectively implement the military and defense resolution for the last 6 months of 2025, both the provincial Party Secretary and the Military Region 2 leader emphasized the need to focus on several key tasks. These include reviewing and concretizing the plans and programs to implement the military and defense tasks, as well as advising the province on the efficient and comprehensive implementation of these tasks.

At the same time, special attention should be given to the investment in defense infrastructure that aligns with the new military organization structure and ensures the readiness of newly established units.
