Clearly aware of this, Youth Union committees at all levels in Điện Biên have placed special importance on educating the young generation on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle, closely linking it with promoting the role of youth in the digital age. In recent times, the provincial Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union has renewed its educational content and methods, applying digital transformation to grasp and guide the ideology of youth and adolescents. It has focused on building a model for Điện Biên’s youth in the new era and strengthening positive information, as well as discovering, nurturing, and honoring advanced models. Cyberspace has been effectively utilized to spread positive messages, consolidate faith, and inspire the desire to contribute among the youth.
Many practical activities have been implemented, such as the “Candlelight Tribute” program, offering incense at memorials, cleaning martyrs’ cemeteries, visiting people with meritorious service, and organizing movements like “Youth Volunteers,” “Creative Youth,” and “Youth Pioneering in National Defense.” Programs to support young people in their studies, startups, and careers have been organized in diverse and practical ways. Through these, traditional patriotism is educated, dreams and ambitions are nurtured, and the aspiration to rise is fostered, forming a new, progressive generation of youth with courage and a desire to contribute.

However, the rapid development of digital technology also gives rise to many challenges. Harmful information flows, fake news, and a pragmatic lifestyle can easily cause a segment of the youth to waver in their ideology and lose faith and ideals. Some activities for educating revolutionary ideals are monotonous, unappealing, and have not kept pace with the needs and approaches of the youth. This demands stronger innovation, linking the education of revolutionary ideals with equipping young people with digital capacity, integration skills, and the ability to critically evaluate information.
Entering the 2025 - 2030 period, as Điện Biên promotes digital transformation, administrative reform, and the building of a streamlined, modern apparatus, the demand is for the youth to have strong ideals, ethics, knowledge, and courage. The Youth Union needs to continue innovating its operational methods, improving educational effectiveness, and supporting and promoting the role of youth in the new era.
The provincial Youth Union has identified the need to integrate the education of revolutionary ideals into digital platforms and social media through short videos, podcasts, infographics, and online forums to make it more accessible to the youth. It aims to build a healthy online environment, push back against harmful and toxic information, and promote the role of the Youth Union in shaping positive public opinion. Every official working with youth needs to be equipped with digital knowledge and skills to manage, communicate, and interact more effectively with young people. Every youth union member must proactively study, train, and take the lead in accessing and applying new technologies.
Educating revolutionary ideals cannot be separated from practical action. Therefore, the provincial Youth Union has determined to link this work with creative, volunteer, and patriotic emulation movements. It will also honor exemplary young people who follow Uncle Ho’s teachings, spreading the spirit of contribution and the will to rise throughout society.
The youth of Điện Biên today are both the future owners and the pioneering force in the development of their homeland. Strengthening the education of revolutionary ideals, linked with promoting their role in the digital technology era, is the path for the young generation to follow in the footsteps of their forefathers, continue writing the heroic history of the land of Điện Biên Phủ, and contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 15th provincial Party Congress, building a civilized, modern, integrated, and developed Điện Biên.
