The Finance Department Party Committee was established based on the merger of two party committees: the Finance Department and the Planning and Investment Department, according to Decision No.09-QĐ/ĐUUBND dated February 28, 2025, from the Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee. The party committee consists of 6 sub-committees, with 92 party members, including 85 official members and 7 reserve members.

In the 2020-2025 term, the party committee united in leadership, directed the agency with solidarity, and worked hard to excellently complete its assigned political tasks, affirming the leadership role of the party organization. During the term, all 9 groups of goals and tasks were achieved and exceeded the targets set by the Congress’s resolution, particularly in the recruitment of party members, which exceeded the set targets. The Finance Department Party Committee successfully assisted the provincial government in performing state management functions in the fields of planning, investment, finance, and budget in the region. For four consecutive years, the party committee was rated as having completed its tasks excellently.

In the past term, there were positive changes in national defense, security, and the construction of the party. The study of Hồ Chí Minh’s ethical example and style, as well as the resolutions and directives of the party, received attention. The activities of mass organizations were rich and practical.

With the theme “Promote democracy, solidarity, innovation, strengthen the clean and strong party building, strictly implement financial discipline, and enhance the efficiency of financial and investment management to contribute to the successful implementation of the local socio-economic development tasks for the 2025-2030 period,” the congress set 9 goals, 4 tasks, and 8 key solutions for the 2025-2030 term. These include continuing innovation, enhancing the leadership capacity of the party, improving governance, quality, and the effectiveness of mass organizations; accelerating digital transformation and administrative reforms; and effectively advising on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2026-2030.

In his opening speech, comrade Nguyễn Văn Đoạt praised and recognized the achievements of the Finance Department Party Committee in the past term. The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee generally agreed with the direction, goals, tasks, and solutions set out by the Finance Department Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. He urged the committee to focus on leadership and direction in political education for officials and party members, strengthen administrative discipline, enhance the effectiveness of state management, and improve administrative reforms. The committee should also promote policies for investment, infrastructure development, business support, improving the investment environment, and enhancing competitiveness.

At the congress, the Finance Department Party Committee approved the report on the self-critique of the Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term and discussed and contributed opinions to the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress; the political report for the Party Congress of the Party Committee of the provincial People’s Committee for the 2025-2030 term. 100% of the members voted to approve the Congress Resolution.
