Amid the current mix of information sources, maintaining ideological stability has become more crucial than ever - a vital effort to defend the Party’s ideological foundation, preserve political stability, and inspire the province’s shared aspiration for development.

In recent years, ideological work in Điện Biên has been carried out in a comprehensive and coordinated manner, closely aligned with the goals of socio-economic development, national defense, security, and political system consolidation. From provincial to grassroots levels, Party committees, authorities, and social organizations have proactively renewed their communication methods, enhanced dialogue, and actively monitored public sentiment. Political and social organizations, together with the police and military, have played a core role in conveying the Party’s guidelines and policies to the people in accessible and relatable ways.

In the country’s westernmost border communes such as Sín Thầu, Mường Nhé, and Nậm Kè, public trust has been built through close connections and shared responsibility. Sùng Sừng Khai, a Hà Nhì ethnic villager from A Pa Chải in Sín Thầu commune, shared: “Thanks to the care and support of the Party and the State, we’ve felt secure to settle down, stay united, develop our economy, and preserve our traditional culture. Border guards and local authorities often visit our villages, work and live alongside us, so we trust them. Now, the Hà Nhì people live in stability and join hands to protect the border markers and maintain peace in our villages.”

Such simple yet heartfelt words embody the strength of trust - an invisible force that keeps the border region peaceful, united, and resilient.

Pu Nhi commune, newly established through the merger of Nong U and Pu Nhi communes, is home to a community that is over 90% Mông. There, the local Party Committee and authorities have proactively and flexibly promoted ideological stability through practical community engagement under the principle: “Listen to the people, speak so they understand, and act so they trust”. Officials regularly visit each hamlet and household to explain new policies and guide people in applying modern farming techniques to improve their livelihoods. As a result, awareness, trust, and unity among residents have been significantly strengthened.

Sùng A Dế, a villager from Phù Lồng, said: “There were times when people were confused by conflicting information and some even thought about migrating elsewhere. But after officials came to explain things clearly, everyone now feels reassured and is working together to build a new countryside. As the Congress draws near, we have stronger faith and greater hope for Điện Biên’s continued progress.”

Through such concrete efforts, public trust has been reinforced and the bond between the Party and the people has grown stronger - the very foundation for a more resilient ideological front, fostering unity in thought and action.

Alongside widespread communication campaigns, armed forces and socio-political organizations continue to play a key role in safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation. The police actively monitor public sentiment and swiftly counter misinformation and hostile narratives online. Border guard units organize cultural exchanges, legal education, and storytelling about revolutionary traditions to strengthen patriotism and national pride among highland communities. Youth unions promote positive information, ignite self-reliance, and nurture a spirit of dedication and social responsibility.

Ideological work has been affirmed as the mission of the entire political system. In Pu Nhi, local authorities believe that to earn people’s trust, officials must lead by example. Đinh Quang Bạo, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Pu Nhi commune, stated: “Ideological work is the foundation of trust. When people understand, they believe; and when they believe, they act. Every official must be a communicator, setting an example through words and deeds to inspire others. Maintaining grassroots stability means safeguarding our ideological front.”

Across the province, Party committees and agencies, especially Steering Committee 35 at all levels, have intensified official communication, actively countered false narratives, and strengthened ideological defenses both within the Party and among the public. Regular recognition of exemplary individuals and collectives has helped spread optimism and confidence throughout society.

Safeguarding ideological unity today means preserving the Party’s political foundation and reinforcing public trust. When the people are confident and united, no divisive scheme can succeed.

Trust, nurtured through tangible actions by every official, every villager, and every community, has become a powerful source of spiritual strength, propelling Điện Biên forward into a new term with confidence, solidarity, and resolve.
