Điện Biên provincial People’s Council passes a large number of resolutions

ĐBP - After 1.5 days (December 8 - 9), the 24th session of the 15th Điện Biên provincial People’s Council, term 2021 - 2026, completed the set content, passing 19 important resolutions for 2026 and the 2026 - 2030 period.

Through review, research, and discussion, the provincial People’s Council delegates voted to pass 18 resolutions presented by the Standing Boards of the provincial People’s Council and the People’s Committee regarding economic and social issues, activities of the provincial People’s Council, and 1 resolution on personnel work (relieving Vừ A Bằng, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilization, from the position of Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee).

Speaking at the closing ceremony for the 24th session, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Lê Thành Đô affirmed that the passed socio-economic resolutions are not only major policies for 2026 but also for the entire 2026-2030 period. The session agreed to objectively and comprehensively assess important results achieved in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security, and foreign affairs during the year. At the same time, it frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in implementing socio-economic development tasks and leadership, management, and direction work in a number of fields and tasks of all levels and sectors; analyzing and forecasting advantages, difficulties, and challenges and identifying key tasks and solutions to successfully implement the goals and tasks of 2026 and the 2026-2030 period.

Determining that 2026 has very important significance, creating a foundation for successfully implementing the socio-economic development targets and tasks of the term, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Lê Thành Đô requested the provincial People’s Committee, provincial departments, boards, branches, communes, and wards to focus on directing and effectively implementing the targets, tasks, and solutions for socio-economic development in 2026 and the 5-year socio-economic development plan, period 2026-2030.

The session passes 19 important resolutions.

In particular, noting the determination of specific roadmaps and scenarios for each quarter, each year, and the whole period to have flexible, timely solutions suitable to the actual situation. Urgently researching and submitting to the provincial People’s Council for issuance of resolutions to concretize the Resolution of the 15th provincial Party Congress, especially specific policies to attract investment and create development breakthroughs.

Along with that, building plans, issuing executive solution programs, building economic growth scenarios, and organizing the effective implementation of resolutions just passed by the provincial People’s Council; directing the resolution of legitimate opinions and recommendations of voters; continuing to pay attention to and care for the material and spiritual life of the people. Preparing well the contents and conditions to successfully organize the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Continuing to implement the arrangement of the organizational apparatus, strengthening decentralization and delegation of power, and arranging the internal organization of administrative agencies, rearranging public service units...
