Điện Biên has new Commander of Military Command

ĐBP - On June 23, the Điện Biên provincial Military Command held a meeting to hand over the responsibilities of the Commander of the provincial Military Command.

The meeting was chaired by Major General Nguyễn Văn Xuân, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2. Attendees included representatives from Military Region 2 agencies, local departments, and provincial Military Command.

The Deputy Commander of Military Region 2 presents flowers to congratulate the newly appointed commanders.

In accordance with Decision No.186 dated May 30, 2025, and Decision No.213 dated June 14, 2025, by the Minister of Defense regarding the personnel rotation and appointment, Senior Colonel Lê Văn Sơn, Commander of the provincial Military Command, has been appointed to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 2. Meanwhile, Senior Colonel Trịnh Đức Thiêm, Commander of the Provincial Military Command of Hòa Bình, has been appointed as the new Commander of the Provincial Military Command of Điện Biên.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commander of Military Region 2 praised the contributions of Senior Colonel Lê Văn Sơn, who, together with the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Military Command, and local authorities, has actively advised the provincial Party Committee, Military Region Command, and local agencies on effective military and defense strategies, as well as supporting the economic and socio-cultural development of the province.

The provincial Military Party Committee hands over flowers to congratulate the newly appointed commanders.

The Deputy Commander also expressed hope that both Senior Colonel Lê Văn Sơn and Senior Colonel Trịnh Đức Thiêm, in their new positions, would continue to build upon the achievements of the past, working closely with their teams to develop exemplary military units and achieve all assigned tasks with excellence.
