Amid the vibrant atmosphere of competition and celebration, workers and engineers at the Mường Thanh Market and Commercial Service Project, one of the province’s flagship projects marking the Congress, are working day and night to speed up progress. Every effort is being made to mobilize manpower, equipment, and resources to ensure timely completion.

The project’s three-storey kiosk block, covering nearly 3,000 square meters, is now essentially finished. The main market hall, built with a reinforced steel frame and spanning over 1,400 square meters, has completed its roofing and technical components. Construction of service zones DV01, DV02, and DV03 is being fast-tracked as all contractors are mobilizing resources, working extra shifts, and accelerating construction progress to ensure the project is completed soon, creating a meaningful highlight to mark the Party Congress and contributing to a more modern and vibrant urban landscape in Điện Biên.

Nguyễn Quốc Ngũ, General Director of NQT Quảng Ninh Trading and Construction JSC, said: “The Mường Thanh Market and Commercial Service Project is a key work celebrating the 15th provincial Party Congress. To ensure progress, we have maximized manpower and equipment, extended working hours, and accelerated completion of all components. Finishing the project on schedule and ensuring quality is a testament to our sense of responsibility, solidarity, and the strong direction of local authorities.”

In the same spirit of celebration, Điện Biên province, in partnership with Đức Hải Điện Biên Co., Ltd., recently broke ground on the Mường Thanh Airport New Urban Area and Pedestrian Street Project. Covering nearly 7.6 hectares, the development enjoys a prime location next to Điện Biên Phủ Airport and close to famous historical landmarks such as De Castries’ Bunker, Mường Thanh Bridge, Hill A1, the Victory Monument, and the Điện Biên Phủ Victory Museum.

Designed as the province’s first smart urban area, the project aims to harmonize modern living spaces with green, eco-friendly landscapes. Once completed, it will provide housing, accommodations, and commercial facilities for residents and tourists while supporting Điện Biên’s broader urban planning and socio-economic growth.

Nguyễn Văn Đức, Director of Đức Hải Điện Biên Co., Ltd., shared: “It is both an honor and a responsibility for us to contribute to the province’s development through this symbolic project. The Mường Thanh Airport Urban Area will enhance urban aesthetics, improve living standards, and boost local economic growth. We are committed to ensuring progress, quality, safety, and environmental compliance, aiming to launch sales by late 2025 and hand over apartments in the fourth quarter of 2026.”

In recent years, Điện Biên has made strong efforts to modernize infrastructure while promoting efficiency and reducing waste. The province has implemented practical solutions aligned with local realities, focusing on three strategic breakthroughs - developing key infrastructure, mobilizing resources, and accelerating major projects.

A number of large-scale projects are underway, including the Điện Biên Airport Upgrade, the Transport Connectivity Project along National Highways 279 and 12, the Điện Biên provincial Guesthouse, and the Hà Nội - Điện Biên Phủ Primary School Project.

Meanwhile, many cultural, historical, and tourism landmarks such as the provincial stadium, artistic lighting systems at Hill A1 and Hill D1, and the Điện Biên Phủ Victory Museum have been upgraded, creating a renewed urban landscape that better supports tourism and socio-economic development.

Between 2021 and 2024, Điện Biên approved 66 investment projects with a total capital exceeding VND 25.69 trillion. To date, 212 projects have been registered, worth more than VND 50.73 trillion, of which 123 have been completed and put into operation, a clear reflection of the province’s rapid and sustainable transformation.

As the Party Congress approaches, many other major projects continue to break ground and reach completion, demonstrating the shared determination of local authorities, the Party, and the people. Each project reflects the collective spirit of innovation, perseverance, and unity as Điện Biên advances toward a new era of development. Moreover, these projects will help complete the urban landscape, creating a modern and civilized living space that opens up opportunities for economic growth and improves both the material and spiritual well-being of residents. This, in turn, demonstrates the effectiveness of the strong leadership and decisive direction of all levels of authority, the coordinated efforts among sectors and localities, and the vibrant spirit of emulation and hard work across the entire political system.

The projects celebrating the Congress have become symbols of the aspiration for renewal and the hallmark of a Điện  Biên that is undergoing a strong transformation on its path of development. Each completed item and project stands as vivid evidence of the unity and concerted efforts of the entire Party, people, and army, contributing to affirming the province’s position, pride, and steadfast belief in a prosperous, civilized, and thriving Điện Biên of the future.
