Comrade Trần Tiến Dũng welcomes Danish Ambassador to Vietnam

ĐBP - On December 15, Trần Tiến Dũng, Secretary of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee, had a courtesy meeting with Nicolai Prytz, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam.

Also receiving the delegation were Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Minh Phú and representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches, and localities.

At the reception, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Trần Tiến Dũng introduced to Nicolai Prytz and members of the working delegation a number of potentials and advantages of Điện Biên province regarding agricultural development, tourism, production, and renewable energy development. Especially the potentials for developing renewable energy such as wind power and solar power. The province is focusing on attracting investors, perfecting policy mechanisms, and developing traffic - power infrastructure to maximize this potential.

Besides, Điện Biên province is promoting the implementation of agricultural sector restructuring, focusing on attracting investors for projects on livestock production, fertilizer, especially smart agricultural production. Điện Biên currently has a forest coverage rate of 45.5%, having potential in exploiting carbon credits and investing in afforestation projects.

In addition, Điện Biên is also rich in mineral potential, including hot mineral water with about 80 mine points, being one of the provinces with many hot mineral water mines in the country. This is also one of the fields Điện Biên province wishes to call for investors to attract tourism.

At the courtesy reception, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee stated that Điện Biên province commits to creating the most favorable conditions for investors during the process of implementing projects in the province. At the same time, hoping that in the coming time, the Ambassador will continue to be a bridge to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two countries Vietnam and Denmark in general, and between Điện Biên province and Danish enterprises in particular.

Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolai Prytz thanked the provincial leaders for the sentiment and solemn reception given to the working delegation. At the same time, stating that in the role of a diplomatic bridge, he will continue to promote cooperative relations between Denmark and Điện Biên in many fields; encouraging and supporting Danish enterprises to come to invest in Vietnam in general and Điện Biên province in particular.
