The district has intensified propaganda and coordinated the implementation of large-scale emulation movements initiated by the Prime Minister, ministries, and sectors at the central and provincial levels, as well as local governments. These movements are aligned with the province’s socio-economic development goals and the specific objectives of each department, sector, and locality. The focus has been on promoting emulation movements such as: “The Whole Country Works Together to Build New Rural Areas,” “For the Poor - No One is Left Behind,” “Civil Servants Strive to Implement Office Culture,” “Enhance Infrastructure Development,” “Digital Transformation,” “The Whole Country Strives to Eradicate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses by 2025,” “Building a Learning Society,” and “National Unity to Build a Cultural Life.”
In the economic sector, Nậm Pồ’s emulation movements focus on improving productivity, quality, and the efficiency of production and business activities. There is also an emphasis on promoting the application of science and technology, developing new products and services, and enhancing the competitiveness of local businesses, all contributing to the achievement of economic growth targets. By the end of Q1-2025, the total production value at current prices was estimated to reach VND 337.7 billion, with agricultural, forestry, and fishery sectors contributing VND 133 billion, industrial and construction sectors at VND 84.79 billion, and services at VND 144.7 billion.

Thùng Văn Ánh, Chairman of the Chà Nưa commune People’s Committee, shared: “The local authorities have actively promoted emulation movements linked to the Party congresses, involving the local reality. This has encouraged and motivated officials, Party members, and the local community. As of now, 100% of Party member households in our commune have escaped poverty, with many improving their standard of living. The average income per person is VND 35.57 million/year, with the poverty rate reduced to 3.25% by 2025.”
In response to the “Whole Country Works Together to Eradicate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses” movement, Nậm Pồ district has developed a focused, detailed plan with specific tasks and responsibilities. The local government has mobilized social resources and combined them with state support, integrating policies from various housing support programs. The district has encouraged contributions from households that receive assistance, thereby increasing the value of housing for residents. According to statistics, in the first and second rounds, 476 households have been supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with 215 households already completing their new homes.

With a spirit of transparency, democracy, and community involvement, local governments have encouraged the people to contribute ideas, labor, and land for infrastructure projects such as roads and cultural houses. As of Q1-2025, Nậm Pồ had one commune meeting the New Rural Area standards, three communes meeting 15-18 criteria, and 30 villages achieving New-style Rural Area status, including two model communes, surpassing the target by 0.86 criteria per commune.
