Also in attendance were Vừ A Bằng, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Cao Thị Tuyết Lan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Điện Biên District Party Committee; along with representatives from various provincial departments and agencies.

During the meeting, Cường expressed his pleasure in welcoming Owada Hiroshi and the delegation to Điện Biên. He provided an overview of the province's geographical features, socio-economic development, and potential advantages.

He emphasised that Điện Biên has favourable conditions for large-scale agricultural and forestry production, particularly in the development of industrial crops, processing, and product distribution. Some of the province's agricultural products, such as Mường Ảng Coffee and Mường Thanh Valley Rice, have already gained recognition.

Discussing the province's socio-economic development and its cooperative relationship with Japanese partners, Cường called for increased knowledge exchange in agricultural cultivation and care.

He also suggested establishing a friendship association between Điện Biên and Fukushima, with cultural and people-to-people exchanges in the future.

Owada Hiroshi, for his turn, said he was deeply touched by the warm reception. He, along with other members, discussed various areas of agricultural support and production in Việt Nam.

Additionally, the delegation expressed admiration for the historical significance of the Vietnamese people's resistance against foreign invaders.
