Điện Biên women towards the Party congresses

ĐBP - In addition to mobilizing members to uphold Party’s guidelines and State’s laws, women’s unions across Điện Biên province have actively encouraged their members to participate in initiatives dedicated to celebrating the upcoming Party congresses at all levels.

Through various meaningful projects and activities, these efforts contribute to achieving socio-economic development goals and ensuring local prosperity.

In Nậm Pồ district, the Women’s Union has spearheaded initiatives such as maintaining flower-lined roads, mobilizing support for disadvantaged children and students, and providing livelihood models for struggling households. These efforts are part of a broader campaign to honor the Party congress at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress (2025-2030 term).

According to Trần Thị Yến, Vice Chairwoman of the Nậm Pồ district Women’s Union, the union has launched various initiatives aligned with local political objectives. Key programs include: Encouraging women to engage in lifelong learning, innovative labor, and family-building efforts, promoting women’s participation in the new rural development movement, and providing economic support and poverty alleviation programs for women.

These initiatives not only empower women through education and skill development but also strengthen their roles in community engagement and economic growth.

Supporting women in economic development and sustainable poverty reduction is a key focus of women's unions across the province. Phạm Thị Hà, Chairwoman of the Mường Nhé district Women’s Union, emphasized that many members come from low-income households. To address this, the union has implemented several support measures, including organizing vocational training programs in farming and animal husbandry, facilitating access to microloans through the Women’s Union’s fund and the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, and encouraging members to invest in small-scale farming, aquaculture, livestock rearing, and local commerce.

With these financial and technical support measures, many women have successfully established small farms, fish ponds, livestock businesses, and general stores, improving their household incomes and economic stability.

Guided by the values of confidence, integrity, resilience, and diligence, women across Điện Biên have been actively contributing to key economic sectors, particularly agriculture, industry, and rural development. Under the leadership of the provincial Women’s Union, female members are aligning their efforts with the Party congresses goals by enhancing agricultural productivity through sustainable farming methods; developing OCOP-certified products such as Điện Biên rice, Tủa Chùa tea, Mường Ảng coffee, rubber, macadamia, and fruit cultivation; and establishing safe agricultural supply chains that contribute to local and national markets.

According to Đỗ Thị Thu Thủy, Chairwoman of the Điện Biên provincial Women’s Union, a special emulation campaign was launched in mid-January to celebrate the 2025-2030 Party congresses at all levels, the National Patriotic Emulation Congress, the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20).

This campaign focuses on six key priorities, including identifying and promoting outstanding women for leadership roles; achieving the strategic breakthroughs outlined in Party resolutions; and enhancing policy advocacy and social supervision, particularly concerning women's and children's rights.

As the Party congresses approaches, Điện Biên women are demonstrating their patriotism, solidarity, and determination to contribute to national progress. The provincial Women’s Union continues to encourage creativity, volunteerism, and meaningful action, ensuring that women play a crucial role in shaping Vietnam’s socio-economic future.
