Permanent Deputy PM Phạm Gia Túc attends inauguration of Thanh Nưa Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School

ĐBP - On the morning of September 5, at Thanh Nưa Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School, Điện Biên province held the Opening Ceremony for the 2026-2027 school year and inaugurated multi-level ethnic boarding schools in border communes across the province.

This served as the primary provincial broadcast point for Điện Biên connecting directly to the nationwide live televised broadcast titled “Opening Ceremony of the 2026-2027 School Year and Inauguration of Multi-Level Ethnic Boarding Schools in Mainland Border Communes.”

Attending the event was comrade Phạm Gia Túc, Member of the Politburo and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, alongside representatives from various central departments, ministries, sectors, and agencies. Representing Điện Biên province were comrade Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, together with members of the provincial Party Standing Committee, the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, the Standing Board of the provincial People’s Council, leaders of the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee, provincial departments, agencies, socio-political organizations, leaders of Thanh Nưa commune, as well as over 1,000 pupils and teachers of Thanh Nưa Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School.

Thanh Nưa Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School was built across an area of nearly 5.4 hectares with a total investment exceeding VND 224 billion allocated from the central budget.

The school is synchronously and modernly planned with 30 standard classrooms, 13 specialized subject rooms, student boarding quarters, teacher housing, an administrative building, a dining hall, kitchens, a sports complex, and auxiliary infrastructure systems, welcoming more than 1,000 pupils for this school year.

During the opening proceedings, delegates, teachers, and pupils watched the live broadcast of the 2026-2027 School Year Opening Ceremony and the inauguration of multi-level ethnic boarding schools hosted at the central venue at Mường Khương Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School in Lào Cai province.

Everyone joined in the flag-salute ceremony, sang the National Anthem, and listened alongside students nationwide to the letter and directive speech delivered by Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm on the occasion of the new academic year. Following this, the delegates performed the button-pressing ceremony to officially inaugurate Thanh Nưa Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School in synchronization with commands from the central broadcast site and provincial venues across the country.

On the occasion of the new school year, the school received numerous meaningful gifts. Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm presented 20 footballs to the pupils, while Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Gia Túc presented the school with a portrait bust of President Hồ Chí Minh along with 40 gift sets for high-achieving students and impoverished children who overcome hardships. Điện Biên province also awarded 40 gift sets and donated notebooks to all students of the school. In addition, teachers and pupils received significant presents from ministries, sectors, enterprises, and donors.

Following the opening ceremony, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Gia Túc and the delegates planted trees and toured the school’s facilities, including the boarding quarters, kitchen, dining hall, regular classrooms, and specialized subject rooms.
