ĐBP - Following complex incidents that occurred in Điện Biên, practical reality highlights a core requirement: protecting the Party’s ideological foundation must firmly begin with the “roots,” which are the people.

ĐBP - After nearly a year of implementing the 2-tier local government model, the most visible change in Quài Tở is not only a consolidated apparatus but how the people have started to look at their own homeland differently and their role in that transformation. In highland areas, trust is not formed by simple explanations. It begins with less arduous village roads, clearer directions for livelihoods, and the feeling that the local government is truly accompanying the people in matters close to their daily lives.

ĐBP - Within the framework of the 6th Annual Conference among Secretaries of provincial Party Committees and the 12th session of the Joint Working Group between 4 provinces of Việt Nam and Yunnan province, China, on May 28 in Kunming city, Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee, and Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, had a meeting with Wang Ning, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Yunnan provincial Party Committee.

ĐBP - Following the mass gathering incident, the people of Huổi Khon embarked on the cause of rebuilding their homeland, drawing from the practical guidance of Deputy Minister of Public Security Tô Lâm. This guidance emphasized that the strongest citadel of the border is the “people’s heart posture,” and to keep this posture unshakeable, the political system must be strengthened right from the roots.

ĐBP - In the late afternoon of a day in May 2026, as the final rays of sun gradually faded behind the mountain range, peace enveloped every roof in the border commune of Nậm Kè, Điện Biên province. The light from the national power grid shone brightly, blending with the sound of young children playing and the distant laughter of residents returning home after a day of labor.

ĐBP - In the context of hostile forces increasingly exploiting ethnic and religious issues to distort the Party’s guidelines and policies, Điện Biên province has been strongly promoting the role of the people in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation.

ĐBP - Development linkage in Quài Tở is not merely an administrative organizational adjustment after the merger. It is a process of restructuring the highland development space, where the way of thinking, working, and even the people’s trust are step-by-step changing from the very movements of daily life.

ĐBP - There are phases when the development gap is not merely measured by the length of steep slopes or the time taken to cross streams after heavy rains and floods. In Quài Tở, that gap once clearly existed in the separation between production spaces, individually developing villages, and the unanswered questions of highland residents regarding whether major guidelines would truly touch their daily lives.

ĐBP - In the high-altitude villages and hamlets of Điện Biên, reputable individuals constitute a special mass force, playing an important role in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation right from the grassroots level.

ĐBP - On the morning of May 27, at the Tông Khao Martyrs’ Cemetery, Điện Biên province held a visitation, memorial, and burial ceremony for the remains of Việt Nam volunteer soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Laos, brought back during the second phase of the 2025 - 2026 dry season.

ĐBP - To ensure the government apparatus operates effectively, Party committees and local authorities across communes in Điện Biên province have proactively reviewed, reorganized, and consolidated their personnel structures toward a leaner, more efficient, and more effective system.

ĐBP - Not only holding their guns firmly at the far Western border of the Fatherland, Điện Biên province’s armed forces are also a solid support for the people during natural disasters and in daily life.

ĐBP - Grasping the “taking the people as the roots” viewpoint of the Party and Uncle Hồ, Điện Biên province determines that protecting the ideological foundation of the Party is first and foremost maintaining the hearts of the people.
