ĐBP – The Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee has asked Tuần Giáo District to continue accelerating growth rate and restructuring its economy according to the resolutions set by the province and district, in order to fully tap into its potential as the province's gateway.

ĐBP — The Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Negativity of Điện Biên Province convened its monthly meeting on Wednesday to assess the achievements of July and outline key tasks for the upcoming months. ĐBP - On Thursday, a delegation from the National Assembly’s Ethnic Council convened with the Điện Biên Provincial People's Committee to evaluate the implementation of land and forest allocation policies. The meeting centred on strategies for protecting and developing forests while ensuring stable livelihoods for ethnic minority communities in the region from 2019 to 2023.

ĐBP – Deputy Prime Minister Trần Lưu Quang announced that the Government has decided to provide emergency assistance of VNĐ10 billion (US$398,089) to Điện Biên Province to help mitigate damage from floods, landslides and to stabilise the lives of residents in affected areas.

ĐBP – On the morning of July 26, a delegation from Điện Biên Province, led by Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, paid respects to General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Trần Thánh Tông, Hà Nội. The respect-paying ceremony of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyễn Phú Trọng is organised in the national mourning etiquette at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Trần Thánh Tông, Hà Nội, from 7 AM to 10 PM on July 25 and from 7 AM to 1 PM on July 26, 2024.

The visit and incense offering ceremony marked the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

Nguyễn Phú Trọng, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee, has significantly shaped the nation's international relations through his unwavering dedication, profound intellect, and steadfast commitment to fostering global partnerships.

At 80 years old, with nearly 57 years of Party membership, 14 years as General Secretary, more than two years as President, and over five years as National Assembly Chairman, Nguyễn Phú Trọng consistently devoted himself to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. Alongside the Central Committee and the Government, he led the entire Party, the people, and the armed forces to achieve many significant and historic accomplishments.

He passed away due to age-related illness at Central Military Hospital 108 in Hà Nội.

ĐBP - Trần Quốc Cường, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, on Friday received a courtesy visit from the Japan-Việt Nam Friendship Association. The delegation was led by Mr. Takabatake Motoaki, Chairman of the Workers' Learning Association, on the occasion of their visit and work in Điện Biên Province.
