For Điện Biên, the most practical tribute to preceding generations is building an increasingly prosperous homeland, transforming potentials in history, culture, nature, and people into resources for sustainable growth.

In recent years, the appearance of Điện Biên has been changing day by day. Transport infrastructure has received more synchronized investment, facilitating smoother connectivity between the provincial center and highland, border communes. Điện Biên Airport has expanded connectivity space, generating further opportunities to attract investment, develop trade and tourism, and foster economic exchanges. On the foundation of gradually finalized infrastructure, the province is accelerating agricultural restructuring toward commodity production linked with processing and markets. Areas of coffee, macadamia, tea, and numerous OCOP products are steadily establishing their standing, contributing to higher incomes and stable livelihoods for local residents.

Festivals such as the Ban Flower Festival, Mường Lay Swallow-tail Boat Race, and Cherry Blossom Festival, alongside numerous cultural and tourism promotion activities, have helped bring the image of Điện Biên closer to domestic and international visitors. During the 2021-2025 period, the province welcomed over 5.4 million visitor arrivals, generating tourism revenue of approximately VND 9,400 billion, demonstrating the growing appeal of this historic land.

Nguyễn Văn Trọng, residing in group 5, Mường Thanh ward, shared that having been born and raised in Điện Biên, he has clearly witnessed the homeland’s transformation through every period. Previously, travel was arduous and many areas remained isolated, but now the transport system is far more convenient, urban areas are modernizing, services are expanding, and living standards have risen, making residents prouder and more confident in the future of Điện Biên.

That confidence is further consolidated as Điện Biên remains steadfast in its goal of rapid yet sustainable development, linking economic growth with cultural preservation, environmental protection, and public welfare improvement. A host of large-scale projects and programs, along with major investors and corporations, have arrived in Điện Biên to explore opportunities, commit capital, and partner with provincial development. Programs on poverty reduction, new-style rural construction, human resource development, digital transformation, administrative reform, and investment attraction are steadily laying the groundwork for a new developmental chapter.
