Parade officers and soldiers get ready for Điện Biên Phủ Victory

ĐBP - The northern mountainous province of Điện Biên has arranged accommodations for nearly 3,000 officers and soldiers from the Ministry of National Defence participating in a grand military parade in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory on May 7.

After a long journey from the National Training Center in Hà Nội, on Thursday (April 25), officers and soldiers have settled in Điện Biên City and ready for joint training in the days ahead.

Soldiers settle in at the 82nd Battalion, 355th Division in Điện Biên City.

Điện Biên Province has designated 14 locations, including 13 official sites and one backup site, to accommodate the units. These locations are equipped with facilities such as dormitories, dining halls, and training areas to serve officers and soldiers.

Upon arrival, parade units have been assisted in transporting their gear and equipment to their accommodations.

At present, all units have adapted to the local environment, dining arrangements, and rest schedules, ensuring their physical and mental readiness for joint training in the coming days.

Some units have begun individual training sessions.
