Central Steering Committee pays tribute at the Martyrs' Memorial in the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield

ĐBP - A delegation from the Central Steering Committee 35, led by Vũ Trọng Hà, Chief of the Office, on Wednesday visited the Martyrs' Memorial at the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield as part of their working trip to Điện Biên Province.

Lò Thị Minh Phượng, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Publicity and Education Commission, also accompanied the delegation.

In a solemn atmosphere, the members of the delegation observed a moment of silence to honour and express their deep gratitude to President Hồ Chí Minh, the national liberation hero and the world cultural figure, as well as to General Võ Nguyên Giáp, the Commander-in-Chief of the Việt Nam People's Army.

They also paid tribute to the thousands of soldiers who sacrificed their youth and lives for the Fatherland.

To demonstrate their profound respect and gratitude to the previous generations, the delegation laid flowers and lit incense in memory of the fallen heroes and victims at the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield.

After the memorial service, Hà and the delegation members visited and learned about the history at several sites within the special national relic complex of the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield.
