In previous years, the road through Nà Bủng 3 village, Nà Bủng commune (Nậm Pồ district, Điện Biên province), remained unlit, making travel difficult for local residents. The dream of having streetlights was a long-standing aspiration of the villagers.
This March, that dream became a reality thanks to the youth-led project “Lighting up the border roads”. A 500-meter stretch of road in Nà Bủng 3 was equipped with 19 solar-powered streetlights.
Giàng A Giang, head of Nà Bủng 3 village, expressed his gratitude: “Since the installation of the “Lighting up the border roads’ project”, everyone in the village is delighted. Streetlights not only improve our daily lives but also ensure safer travel and contribute to maintaining security and social order in the area”.
Alongside this initiative, the Youth Month in Nà Bủng Commune saw a host of community-focused activities, including a youth journey to national border markers, a flag-raising ceremony and national anthem performance at Marker No. 49, road-clearing efforts, and gift distributions to underprivileged residents and students.

Under the theme “Vietnamese Youth: Proud and committed to the Party’s path”, Youth Month 2025 has sparked nearly 30 community-driven activities since early March. These include youth-led contributions to new rural development, environmental protection, climate change action, tree planting, and maintaining well-lit, green, clean, and civilized roads. Additionally, educational campaigns on the history of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union and heritage journeys to historical landmarks have been carried out. These activities are being implemented effectively at all levels, ensuring they align with local conditions.
As part of Youth Month, the Điện Biên Phủ City Youth Union organized the “Golden bell Challenge” - a competition themed “Vietnamese Youth of Điện Biên Phủ City: Proud and committed to the Party’s path” - aimed at testing and enhancing knowledge of the history and traditions of the youth union. The event saw the participation of 100 students from Điện Biên province’s Ethnic Boarding High School, who engaged in a series of thought-provoking and educational questions, celebrating 94 years of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union’s proud legacy.
Nguyễn Thị Bích Ngọc, Deputy Secretary of the Điện Biên Phủ city Youth Union, emphasized: “The Golden bell Challenge was organized to promote historical awareness and educate young members about the Union’s rich traditions. It also provides a platform for students to exchange knowledge, learn from one another, and engage in positive activities, keeping them away from social evils while fostering self-improvement and academic excellence. Ultimately, it helps shape the model Vietnamese youth in the new era.”
With diverse and engaging activities, the Youth Month continued to harness the enthusiasm, volunteerism, and creativity of youth union members, contributing to local socio-economic development. The program created opportunities for young people to train, dedicate themselves, and grow, instilling a sense of pride and reinforcing the glorious traditions of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union in the province.
Đặng Thành Huy, Secretary of the provincial Youth Union, highlighted: “The 2025 Youth Month unfolded at a time when the entire political system is focused on preparing for Party Congresses at all levels. Moreover, the whole nation is determined to build and advance into a new era - the era of national raise. Alongside other forces, the youth of Điện Biên are striving to affirm their role in shaping the future, promoting social welfare, and fostering a clean and healthy living environment through their creativity, pioneering spirit, and dedication to volunteer work”.
