Supporting the construction of Great Solidarity houses, granting livelihoods, presenting gifts, and contributing labor days manifest responsibility and affection; contributing to spreading the spirit of great national solidarity within the community.
With a spirit of solidarity, sharing, and joining hands to care for the lives of the poor, Mường Nhé commune focused on mobilizing the strength of the entire political system and the people to deploy a 40-day-and-night peak campaign to eradicate temporary and dilapidated houses. The set target was to complete, accept, and hand over 9 houses meeting the “3 solid” standards to poor households across 4 villages: Si Ma, Nậm Khum, Tân Phong, and Nậm Pố 3, before the National Great Solidarity Festival (November 18, 2026).
Following the motto “clear person, clear task, clear responsibility, clear time, clear result,” the Party Committee, administration, and Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Mường Nhé commune proactively assigned tasks, establishing working groups that directly stay close to the villages, grasp the situation, and urge construction progress. To complete on schedule and ensure standards of a solid foundation, solid frame and walls, and a solid roof, the commune actively mobilized social resources and promoted the spirit of mutual assistance within the community. In the villages, residents voluntarily contributed labor days, assisting in land leveling and material transport, helping families accelerate the construction process.
From that joint effort, housing works progressively took shape, carrying joy and hope for a more stable life for poor households. Lê Hữu Thỉnh, Vice Chairman of the Mường Nhé commune Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of the Mường Nhé commune Veterans’ Association, stated: Completing 9 houses before the National Great Solidarity Festival is the determination of the commune’s Party Committee, administration, and Fatherland Front. Through this, the locality hopes poor and near-poor households will soon have solid shelters, feel secure to work in production, rise in life, and join the people in celebrating the village’s shared festival.
Responding to the 2026 Peak Month for the Poor, the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Pú Nhung commune deployed multiple practical activities targeting the grassroots, including direct labor day support for extremely disadvantaged poor households lacking production manpower in Trạm Củ village. Commune cadres and villagers helped several families clear weeds and clean coffee and macadamia orchards. Instead of mobilizing and supporting with material goods, the spirit of solidarity and sharing with the poor spreads through relatable, practical deeds, joining residents in untangling difficulties in labor and production.
Nguyễn Văn Bách, Chairman of the Pú Nhung commune People’s Committee, stated: The series of activities responding to the 2026 Peak Month for the Poor is deployed from October 17 to November 18. Through these activities, the locality continues to promote the spirit of mutual affection, mobilizing and rallying all strata of the people to unite and join hands in caring for and assisting poor and extremely disadvantaged households through specific deeds. From labor days imbued with affection, the spirit of great national solidarity continues to be nurtured and spread within the community. The joint effort of cadres, mass organizations, and the people has injected added motivation for families to strive in production labor and rise to escape poverty sustainably.
Promoting the nation’s tradition of solidarity and mutual affection, recently, levels, sectors, localities, socio-political organizations, and the business community across the province have deployed numerous practical activities in response to the movement “The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind.”
From supporting the construction of Great Solidarity houses, presenting gifts, and granting livelihoods to assisting with labor days, every activity demonstrates the care and responsibility of the community, contributing to injecting added motivation for the poor to overcome hardships and progressively stabilize their lives. The efficacy of the solidarity spirit is clearly reflected through specific results in mobilizing, managing, and utilizing the Fund for the Poor.
From the beginning of the year to date, the provincial Campaign Board for the Fund for the Poor has allocated over VND 15.6 billion to support building over 160 new Great Solidarity houses, constructing sanitary facilities, assisting poor households in purchasing seedlings, supporting disadvantaged students taking the high school graduation exam, and presenting thousands of gifts during holidays and Tet.
From September 2025 to September 2026, the Funds for the Poor at all levels received over VND 18 billion. From mobilized sources and fund balances, over VND 29 billion was allocated for social welfare activities. This represents the joint effort and consensus of agencies, units, enterprises, philanthropists, and the people in caring for the poor across the province.
Spreading the spirit of sharing during the 2026 Peak Month for the Poor, at the launch ceremony organized by the provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee on October 16, over 60 collectives and more than 20 individuals supported and registered to support the provincial Fund for the Poor. The positive response from agencies, units, enterprises, philanthropists, and all strata of the people affirmed the social responsibility and community spirit of mutual affection toward those still facing hardships.
To ensure support resources reach the right subjects and promote efficiency, the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels called upon cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, workers, enterprises, and all strata of the people to actively contribute to the Fund for the Poor; while simultaneously stepping up activities supporting housing, livelihoods, and essential conditions for disadvantaged households. Thanks to the spirit of sharing and the regular actions of the entire community, poverty reduction work in the province secures added resources and strength to execute social welfare objectives, helping the poor gain more opportunities to rise, progressively escape poverty sustainably, and contribute to building an increasingly developed Điện Biên.
