With strong determination and concerted efforts from all levels of Party committees, authorities, and the involvement of the whole society, the housing support program for eligible beneficiaries in the province is currently on schedule.

ĐBP - Since early July, Mường Nhé commune in Điện Biên province has experienced persistent heavy rainfall, significantly raising the risk of landslides, especially along stream banks and steep hillsides. The commune’s Steering Committee for natural disaster prevention and search and rescue has swiftly assessed high-risk zones, maintained a close presence in affected communities, and mobilized personnel to help relocate residents from hazardous areas to safety.

Among the many challenges, access to clean water, something that should be a basic need, remains a daily struggle for tens of thousands of households. ĐBP - The flood season always brings anxiety to residents in highland regions, as many villages lie at the foot of hills and mountains. The unpredictable weather during this time increases the risk of landslides and flash floods.

ĐBP - With a relatively dense system of rivers and streams, during peak rainy season, floodwaters from upstream in Điện Biên province often bring along large quantities of wood and debris. On these swollen, fast-flowing currents, many residents continue to risk their lives venturing out to rivers and streams to collect floating firewood or catch fish, ignoring repeated warnings about the dangers.

ĐBP - Fully aware of the crucial importance of environmental protection as a key factor for sustainable development, Điện Biên province has been striving to promote eco-friendly economic sectors, apply green technologies, and strictly manage production activities to minimize environmental impacts.

ĐBP - Over the years, the Điện Biên province’s annual Youths and Children’s Innovation Contest has been organized with the goal of awakening and promoting the creative thinking potential of young people and children.

ĐBP - In Nà Hỳ, a remote border commune of Điện Biên province still facing many hardships, a modest boarding school has written a remarkable success story in the 2025 national high school graduation exam. Nậm Pồ Ethnic Minority Boarding High School rose to third place in provincial rankings based on average test scores, with a perfect graduation rate of 100%. This outstanding achievement not only reflects the hard work of the students but also marks a proud milestone for the entire school community.

As the rains return each year, residents in remote villages brace themselves once again for the muddy, slippery roads and the dangers that come with them.

ĐBP - Since the implementation of the two-tier local government model, part-time officials at the commune level in Điện Biên province have remained energetic, dedicated, and persistent in fulfilling their assigned responsibilities. These non-specialist officials have effectively collaborated with local Party committees and authorities to serve the people, contributing to socio-economic development and maintaining public order and security.

ĐBP - The trend of combining residential and commercial spaces within a single building is increasingly popular, especially in densely populated urban areas. While this model offers significant economic benefits, it also presents substantial fire safety risks if not properly managed.

ĐBP - In response to increasingly complicated weather patterns and prolonged heavy rainfall, which pose serious risks of landslides, flash floods, and debris flows threatening the safety of local communities, authorities across various localities in Điện Biên province have taken proactive measures. These include inspecting and reviewing high-risk areas and implementing emergency relocation plans to move residents to safer places in order to minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
