Following the closure of the spontaneous market, numerous small traders and residents transitioned to doing business at C13 Market, progressively steering commercial operations into centralized management areas.

In Mường Thanh ward, on August 24, local authorities launched a synchronized campaign to restore urban order around the C4 market area, along Mường Then street, and surrounding Noong Bua Market. Right on the opening day of the drive, functional forces mobilized 30 violators of urban order regulations to sign commitments against repeat encroachment.

Nevertheless, realities across several spontaneous market spots show that street-encroaching commerce has not been definitively resolved, particularly in the absence of functional forces. Thùng Thị Thoa, who formerly traded at the Che Phai spontaneous market in Khát Vọng residential group, Điện Biên Phủ ward, shared that the previous spontaneous market drew large crowds of residents and visitors thanks to accessibility and abundant local agricultural produce. Through outreach, residents support the general policy, but they hope authorities will promptly complete the zoning of C13 Market to ensure adequate capacity and convenience for a neighborhood market, while definitively addressing rush-hour traffic congestion.

At C12 Market, Noong Bua Market, and Central Market 3, numerous small vendors also recommended that competent authorities study expanding and rearranging trading spaces inside centralized markets to create stable, safe vending environments. This matter was also discussed in detail during the dialogue conference between the heads of the Party committee and administration of Mường Thanh ward and local residents on the morning of September 11. Concurrently, ward voters requested that the locality promptly reorganize the traditional market system, particularly curbing the spontaneous markets surrounding Noong Bua Market.

Building a civilized urban lifestyle and ensuring clear streets and unobstructed pavements remain long-term goals. Nevertheless, practice demonstrates that urban management cannot stop at periodic enforcement campaigns. To settle spontaneous markets definitively, alongside stepped-up inspections to prevent re-encroachment, localities must review and upgrade transport infrastructure connecting to centralized markets, arranging commercial spaces sensibly to meet shopping needs and citizen livelihoods. Once convenient and stable trading venues are established, preserving urban order and aesthetics will achieve lasting efficacy.
