This program is expected to offer fresh perspectives on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation within the education sector, while spreading a spirit of creativity among the younger generation of Điện Biên in the digital age. Organized by the Department of Science and Technology in coordination with the Department of Education and Training and the provincial broadcaster, the competition specifically targets local high school students.
Each competing team consists of five official members supported by a dedicated cheering squad. The innovative nature of “Planet 4.0” lies in its modern technology gameshow format, which skillfully blends theoretical knowledge with creative practical skills. The competition is structured into four distinct segments: Greeting, the Gate of Knowledge, Puzzle Robocon, and Conquering Science and Technology.
A notable highlight of the show is the “Puzzle Robocon” segment, a highly practical challenge where teams must maneuver robots through obstacles to complete specific tasks. This marks the first time such content has been introduced to a student-oriented television program in Điện Biên, allowing participants to engage directly with robotic technology while developing logical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Furthermore, the “Conquering Science and Technology” segment serves as a crucial platform for students to present their own research projects or innovative ideas, ranging from immediate practical applications to futuristic concepts. The organizers specifically encourage creative and feasible projects that benefit learning, daily life, or industrial production, helping students showcase their research capabilities and igniting a passion for scientific inquiry within the school system.
Vũ Anh Dũng, Director of the Department of Science and Technology and Head of the Organizing Committee, shared that the program aims to create a playground that allows students to apply what they have learned from textbooks to real-world scenarios. He emphasized that this is a vital method for identifying and nurturing students with a passion for technology to build a workforce capable of driving the province’s future digital transformation.
Beyond the TV screen, “Planet 4.0” aspires to ignite a province-wide movement for scientific research, encouraging schools to promote STEM activities and establish science clubs to create an environment where students can thrive technologically.
Representing the team from Lương Thế Vinh High School, Dương Tiến Thành expressed immense excitement for the opportunity to showcase their creativity and practical applications. His team is currently developing a project centered on technology-assisted learning, hoping to bring fresh and practical ideas to the stage.
With its engaging content and modern presentation, “Planet 4.0” is poised to become a flagship educational program. The first episode is scheduled to broadcast on the ĐTV channel in early May, promising a brand-new space for discovery where students can explore knowledge and embark on a journey to conquer the limitless planet of innovation.
