From lessons at historical relics and exploring Robotics technology to vibrant sports classes, each activity opens up an inspiring learning space, helping them discover themselves, nurture passions, and confidently reach for their dreams.

On an early summer morning, the atmosphere at the A1 Hill historical relic became livelier with the presence of more than 20 students from the public speaking and junior MC class organized by the provincial Culture and Cinema Center. Instead of indoor lessons, the children stepped into an “open classroom” at the historical site, where every artifact and story became material to cultivate skills and emotions.

Under the guidance of the teacher, the students took turns introducing the history of A1 Hill, which marks the fierce battles and resilient fighting spirit of the army and people. Directly practicing tour guide skills, program hosting, and telling historical stories right at the relic site helps the children become bolder when standing before a crowd, while training their expressiveness, confidence, and critical thinking.

Lò Hoàng Yến from the provincial Culture and Cinema Center shared that practical experiences at the A1 Hill historical relic will help the children directly observe, feel, and retell historical stories with their own emotions. Through this, they do not only practice communication, presentation, and public speaking confidence but also foster a love for their homeland and national pride, step-by-step perfecting the essential skills for their maturity.

Leaving the space of history and art, the Robotics Summer Class organized by the Nhân Kiệt Educational Training Center opens up a colorful world of science and technology. In a classroom filled with robot models, electronic components, and computers, the students enthusiastically assemble, test, and find ways to make the “machines” they created operate as desired.

Phạm Huy Khánh, residing in Điện Biên Phủ ward, is very excited about this class. With hands swiftly assembling details for a robot model, Khánh shared that although he loves science and technology, this is the first time he has gained access to programming and robot manufacturing.

“I find it very interesting because I can assemble the parts by myself and write commands to make the robot move,” Khánh enthusiastically said. “Whenever the robot works exactly as programmed, I feel very happy and want to explore more new knowledge.”

In the class, the children get acquainted with Robotics, programming, and technological thinking through lessons ranging from basic to advanced levels. Alongside acquiring theory, they directly control robots, participate in practical STEAM projects, and solve problems together during the product design process. Each finished model is the result of perseverance, creativity, and the cooperative spirit of the team members.

Bùi Văn Chung, a teacher at Lê Quý Đôn Gifted High School who directly teaches the class, noted that the Robotics Summer Class does not aim to create overly complex products but focuses on sparking a passion for science, shaping technological thinking, and problem-solving skills for students. He added that direct assembly, programming, and testing help them practice logical thinking, creativity, perseverance, and teamwork skills, stating that when conditions are created for early access to science and technology, the children can fully unlock their potential and nurture a passion for research.

While technology opens up creative thinking, sports help children train their willpower and courage. At the Summer Camp basketball class organized by the Ssport Sports Education Academy, the atmosphere is always lively and full of excitement. Unlike short-term classes, the Summer Camp is a two-month program structured as a journey encompassing training, theoretical learning, and real combat competition. Right from the start, students undergo checks regarding age, level, and capacity for appropriate grouping and team division, creating a training and competition environment that matches each child’s ability.

During the week, the children practice skills ranging from dribbling, passing, shooting, layups, and defense to handling game situations. Alternating these are lessons on basketball rules, basic tactics, game reading, nutrition, and essential sports knowledge. The highlight of the program is the weekend matches where students apply what they have learned to reality. Following each match, coaches analyze and correct errors with them and establish new goals, thereby helping them progress faster.

Amid that vibrant atmosphere, six-year-old Trần Đức Tuấn Minh from Điện Biên Phủ ward is the youngest student in the class. Possessing a small but agile physique, the boy always attentively follows the coach’s instructions and persistently executes each movement, though occasionally still clumsy. Being a few years older, Nguyễn Phúc Lâm, also from Điện Biên Phủ ward, finds passion and confidence in basketball. From a sport-loving but shy boy, Lâm has gradually become bolder when participating in training and competing with his teammates. Through each practice session, Lâm and his peers train their discipline, sense of responsibility, teamwork capacity, and confidence in life. Drops of sweat on the court, times celebrating victories with teammates, or encouraging one another after an unsuccessful play all become beautiful lessons for the children.

Nguyễn Mạnh Thắng, the program director, shared that more than just a summer class, the Summer Camp aims to become a place that gives wings to sporting passions, where green shoots are nurtured by perseverance, effort, and a love for the orange ball.

The summer will eventually close, but the experiences at skill, technology, and sports classes will remain as beautiful childhood memories. More importantly, from those playgrounds, the seeds of passion, confidence, and aspiration have been sown, growing day by day to give wings to future dreams.
