Job fairs expand opportunities for Điện Biên workforce

ĐBP - In 2025, many job fairs were organized in various areas within our province. Thereby connecting and creating conditions for workers, especially youth, pupils, students, and demobilized soldiers of the armed forces, to access and exchange information with units and enterprises inside and outside the province.

Since the end of August alone, 9 job fairs have taken place in the province, organized by the Employment Service Center and the Department of Home Affairs, in communes: Na Sang, Tủa Chùa, Mường Ảng, Na Son, Thanh An, Tuần Giáo, Điện Biên Phủ ward, Điện Biên College, and 1 provincial-level job fair. In total, the job fairs had nearly 140 companies and enterprises from inside and outside the province participating, with nearly 30,000 recruitment information slots, attracting about 5,000 participants. Not only workers with needs to access and seek employment, but the fairs also welcomed many pupils and students to visit and learn about the labor market.

Participating in the job fairs are all reputable companies with good production and business, operating diversely in many fields: From garments, electronics, and construction materials... to labor export. Out-of-province companies participating in stalls at the fair have also been issued documents by functional agencies allowing labor selection in the province. Many units have recruited in Điện Biên for a long time, and there are also enterprises expanding into new labor markets. These are reliable choices for workers to explore.

Tinh Lợi Garment Co., Ltd. (Hải Phòng city) has accessed the Điện Biên labor source for 9 years and has promoted recruitment in the province in the last 3 years. On average, each year, the company organizes 10 trips to Điện Biên to connect and recruit. When the 3-level local government was still operating, many old communes, districts, and the (old) Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also visited the company to learn, introduce, and ensure rights for local workers. This year, the Company also continues to participate in job fairs in Điện Biên.

Unskilled workers will be trained and guaranteed income for the first 3 months, with support for accommodation, food, and travel. Many people have come to our stall to learn, grasp information, and leave contact numbers, hoping to continue recruiting many workers from the home province.”

Contrary to the above company, MEDIA International Service Development and Commercial Investment Joint Stock Company (Hà Nội) participated in accessing the labor source in Điện Biên for the first time through job fair activities. Lê Anh Tuấn, Director of the Study Abroad Center, representative of the Company, said: “I realize that Điện Biên has a young, abundant, hard-working human resource with a progressive spirit, so I contacted the provincial professional agency to ask for permission to recruit and participate in recruitment activities in the province. The Company operates mainly in the field of sending workers and interns to work abroad such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan... We commit to providing transparent information, supporting Điện Biên workers to clearly understand regimes, policies, and working conditions in international markets; selecting according to the correct process, training methodically; supporting capital borrowing; ensuring the right industry, right salary level, right contract, always taking workers’ rights as the focus.”

Companies and enterprises participating in the fair operate in many professional fields, diversifying choices for workers.

Lò Thị Tình from Thanh An commune, participating in the provincial job fair, assessed: “There are many enterprises, many job positions, and many different professions to choose from with quite good benefits and salary levels. I took information and flyers from many companies to research more carefully and introduce to relatives and women in the area.”

Successfully organizing job fairs, connecting labor supply and demand for local people and enterprises, Phạm Văn Thuận, Deputy Director of the provincial Employment Service Center, stated: “The series of job fairs is one of the important activities, creating effects and strong spread in information dissemination, introduction, connection, and career orientation that the Center organizes annually. Thereby expanding job search opportunities, connecting transparently, diversely, and effectively between workers and enterprises.”
