Located in the border commune of Thanh Yên, Thanh Yên No.1 Kindergarten once faced numerous difficulties regarding infrastructure, socialized resources, and the organization of experiential educational activities for children. However, with a spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, and a determination to study and follow Uncle Hồ through concrete and practical actions, the collective of cadres, teachers, and staff of the school has step-by-step overcome difficulties to build a quality and friendly educational environment.

Principal Lương Thị Xoan shared that the school determines studying and following Uncle Hồ must be done through concrete actions and activities, closely linked with executing professional tasks and the unit’s emulation movements. Therefore, annually, the school directs cadres, teachers, and staff to proactively build plans to study and follow Uncle Hồ in accordance with their assigned responsibilities and tasks, taking the results of execution as criteria to evaluate and classify party members and review year-end emulation. Thanks to this, studying and following Uncle Hồ is no longer formalistic but has truly become a driving force urging each cadre and teacher to continuously practice, innovate, and dedicate.

Implementing the motto “Take children as the center, take educational quality as the metric, take parents’ satisfaction as the driving force for development,” the school has successfully built many effective, innovative, and widely spread models. These include pioneering programs like the “Happy school,” “Building child-centered kindergartens,” “Improving the quality of professional activities based on lesson study,” “Experiential education tied to local identity,” and “Organizing social forces to participate in education.”

A prominent highlight is that the school has turned local cultural, historical, and natural environment beauties into “living learning materials” serving educational activities, helping children develop comprehensively. Innovating professional activities is also one of the school’s outstanding features. Instead of theoretical professional meetings, teachers study lessons together, attend classes, and draw experience right from practical educational activities. Each experiential activity becomes an “open lesson” where teachers learn from each other and together find solutions to raise educational quality. Another creative approach is the effective mobilization of community strength to participate in education.

Studying and following Uncle Hồ’s teachings, the school’s cadres and teachers actively study to raise their professional and operational levels, attend workshops and thematic sessions, and possess many good initiatives in teaching and learning. Up to now, 100% of teachers have reached or exceeded standard qualifications, and excellent teachers reach over 83%.

During the past school year, the school had 7 initiatives and experiential topics effectively applied in the nourishment, care, and education of children. The enhanced quality of the teaching staff has helped the school efficiently execute child care and educational activities. For many years, the mobilization rate of preschool children to class has always reached 100%, and the mobilization rate of nursery-age children is among the top in the province.

With the achieved results, Thanh Yên No.1 Kindergarten has been selected for many consecutive years as a typical unit of the Education and Training sector to share experiences. It serves as a model school to implement the thematic project on improving the quality of professional activities based on lesson study by the Department of Education and Training, and a model school for building child-centered kindergartens during the 2021-2026 period. Concurrently, it is a unit selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to pilot the new early childhood education program.

These achievements not only help the school become a typical model in studying and following Uncle Hồ but also earn it many certificates of merit from various levels and sectors. Recently, the school was honored to be selected by the Dissemination and Mobilization Department of the provincial Party Committee as one of the 5 typical collectives with a powerful spread in dissemination and educational activities regarding the theme of studying and following Uncle Hồ in 2026.
