Following the policy of renewing service style and attitude and putting patients at the center, the hospital has continuously invested in infrastructure and medical equipment, strengthened professional training, and enhanced medical ethics among its staff and doctors in order to effectively fulfill its mission of protecting and caring for people’s health.
In the first nine months of 2025, the hospital recorded more than 86,000 patient visits (81% of the annual plan). Over 26,800 inpatients covered by health insurance were treated, an increase of 2.5% compared to the same period in 2024, while more than 1,500 outpatients were treated, reaching 83.3% of the year’s plan. These figures reflect both the hospital’s effective operations and the growing trust of local people in its healthcare services.
Nguyễn Thị Hòa, a resident of Điện Biên Phủ ward, came to the hospital for bone and joint treatment. The process was smooth and efficient thanks to the dedication of the medical staff. She expressed her satisfaction: “The hospital is increasingly modern and clean, with up-to-date equipment and many new techniques applied. It is convenient for local people to access quality healthcare without needing to transfer to higher-level hospitals.”

In recent years, the hospital has invested heavily in modern, synchronized infrastructure and upgraded advanced medical equipment for diagnostics and treatment, such as automated blood analyzers, coagulation testing systems, biochemical analyzers, blood preservation systems, CT scanners, 4D color ultrasound machines, ENT endoscopes, gastrointestinal endoscopes, and laparoscopic surgical equipment. The hospital has gradually mastered many specialized techniques, enabling patients to be treated locally and reducing referrals to central hospitals.
Equipment management and investment are also priorities. Medical devices and supplies are strictly managed according to state regulations, with clear handover to each department. The hospital has implemented equipment management software using QR codes, allowing transparent tracking, maintenance, and effective usage. The central medical gas system (oxygen, compressed air, central suction) operates 24/7, ensuring safe and effective emergency and inpatient care.
The hospital has also received UNICEF-donated equipment for Pediatrics and Obstetrics, and in the first nine months of 2025 completed procurement of essential medical devices, including surgical kits for orthopedics, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, endoscopic laryngeal and gastrointestinal surgery, electroencephalography machines, sterilized sinks, delivery beds, and a Phaco surgery system for ophthalmology. These advanced tools have significantly improved treatment quality and expanded specialized techniques at the provincial level.
The hospital has actively pursued professional partnerships, signing cooperation agreements with central hospitals in key fields. Notably, collaboration with Hanoi National University Hospital in oncology, nuclear medicine, and other specialties has been established. With support from the Department of Medical Services Administration under the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and six central hospitals, advanced scientific technologies and techniques have been successfully transferred.
To maximize equipment and human resources, in the first nine months of 2025, the hospital sent 17 staff for postgraduate nursing specialization, 11 for postgraduate examinations, 2 for undergraduate training, 23 for short-term training at central hospitals, and 78 for workshops and online conferences organized by the Ministry of Health and top medical institutions.
According to Dr. Trần Đức Nghĩa, Deputy Director of the provincial General Hospital: “Thanks to investment in infrastructure, modern equipment, and staff training, our professional quality has been affirmed. Advanced techniques in diagnostics and treatment, such as laparoscopic surgeries, cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, and complex fracture surgeries, have been successfully implemented. Many complicated cases that previously required referral to central hospitals can now be treated locally, reducing overload at higher levels and saving costs for patients and society.”
Looking ahead, the hospital will continue implementing comprehensive solutions to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of the healthcare system toward fairness, efficiency, quality, and sustainability, meeting the demands of health protection and care in the new context.
Key directions include mobilizing resources from self-financing, state budget, and social contributions to invest in advanced technology; improving human resource quality; diversifying healthcare services; enhancing communication and patient-centered service attitudes; and building a green, clean, and safe hospital environment.
