Exam preparation in “technology era”

ĐBP - The high school graduation exam for the 2025 - 2026 academic year will take place over two days from June 11 to June 12, 2026.

In response to the requirements regarding the progress and quality of the exam, high schools across Điện Biên province have strengthened the application of information technology (IT) and digital transformation in teaching, learning, and review. Through digital platforms, electronic learning resource repositories, and flexible online learning formats, students can access an open learning environment and proactively acquire knowledge under the close orientation and support of schools and teachers.

In the 2025 - 2026 academic year, Điện Biên province has 8,010 candidates registered to participate in the high school graduation exam. To improve the quality of teaching and support students in reviewing effectively for the exam, the Department of Education and Training has introduced many software programs, digital platforms, and smart applications into teaching. Concurrently, a rich and diverse exam question bank system has been built according to each subject and capacity level. Through computers, smartphones, or internet-connected devices, students can proactively practice with exam papers, take tests, self-assess their results, and supplement missing knowledge.

The sector has focused on investing in and upgrading information technology infrastructure, ensuring that 100% of educational institutions are connected to broadband internet, and deploying LAN and wifi systems to serve teaching and management in the digital environment.

Búng Lao High School has 228 registered candidates. Preparing for the exam, the school has organized three mock exams, with the quality of students’ performance increasing after each turn. Thanks to the automatic result statistics feature, teachers proactively build appropriate review plans for each group of students. Lường Thị Thúy Phượng, a Geography teacher, shared: “Currently, I am using two software programs, Azota and YongTest, in student testing and assessment. These applications help reduce about 80% of the time spent grading multiple-choice tests, while supporting quick and accurate exam code shuffling.”

In addition to IT applications, teachers at Búng Lao High School also directly guide students in reviewing after official class hours.

For students, they will gradually get used to the exam pressure and know how to balance their test-taking time. Lường Thị Ngọc Bích, a student from class 12C3 at Búng Lao High School, said: “Over the past days, I have been thoroughly reviewed by the school and teachers to prepare for the high school graduation exam. Teachers have increased the application of IT software during the review process, helping me systemize knowledge in a scientific, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-remember way.”

Mường Ảng High School has 219 candidates registered to participate in this year’s exam. At this time, the review work has entered the “sprint” phase. The application of IT software has been stepped up, helping students easily access digital learning resources, practice exam questions online, and self-assess their capacity, contributing to enhancing review efficiency and creating a confident mentality when entering the exam.

Principal of Mường Ảng High School Cà Văn Minh informed that during the review and exam preparation work, teachers have proactively combined the use of many supporting websites, while organizing online testing and grading to improve the efficiency of fostering work. Through this, students’ review results can be evaluated quickly and accurately. Some websites commonly used at the school include OLM.vn, Azota, and Quiz.zip.io. In addition, grading software such as QM 2025 and TNmaker have also been deployed by the school, contributing to shortening grading time, improving accuracy, and supporting teachers in timely adjusting review contents to suit students’ capacities.

Students of Mường Ảng High School use smartphones to review and consolidate knowledge under guidance.

Along with that, many students effectively take advantage of online learning platforms to self-review, consolidate knowledge, and practice test-taking skills. The application of IT helps students access diverse learning resource sources and get acquainted with many different types of exam questions to improve their self-study capacity.

Bùi Minh Ngọc, a student from class 12C2 at Mường Ảng High School, shared: “In addition to class time, I take advantage of accessing reputable learning pages on the internet to practice more types of exam questions. This helps me consolidate knowledge, practice test-taking skills, and identify weak areas to focus my review on.”

Boosting the application of IT and digital transformation helps exam candidates consolidate knowledge, practice skills, and enhance their ability to adapt to the exam requirements. This is an important foundation for this year’s high school graduation exam to achieve the highest results.
