Ranging from guiding installation, activating accounts, and integrating electronic documents to utilizing online public services, many citizens have proactively accessed digital utilities, contributing to elevating the execution efficiency of Project 06.
Guided by members of the Community Digital Technology Team on installing and using digital applications, Lường Văn Doan from Pom Loi village, Mường Thanh ward installed VNeID, registered a bank account, and got accustomed to online public services. Moving from initial confusion in operating the app, he has now masterfully used many features, integrating multiple personal documents to serve daily transactions.
Lường Văn Doan shared: “When integrating documents into my VNeID app, presenting documents becomes convenient and processing time is shortened. For example, when going for a health checkup, I only need to bring my citizen identity card. If I forget my driver’s license, I just open VNeID on my phone to verify the information.”
In Điện Biên province, Community Digital Technology Teams serve as the direct support force bringing digital technology closer to the people.
Đỗ Thị Mến, a member of the Community Digital Technology Team in Sam Mứn village, Thanh An commune, stated: “Our team has 10 members, all of whom attended digital transformation training courses organized by the commune People’s Committee and specialized agencies. Following training, members directly guide residents on installing and using digital applications and executing online public services.”
During village meetings, residents receive support in installing VNeID, using chip-based citizen identity cards, and electronic health insurance, while being guided on accessing the portal of the grassroots-level Public Administrative Center to perform land, civil status, and various other administrative procedures. This approach helps residents reduce travel time and build the habit of settling administrative procedures in digital environments.
Driven by the partnership of Community Digital Technology Teams, digital technology applications in many highland villages across Điện Biên province have seen positive shifts. Guidance sessions are organized right at village cultural houses using a hands-on approach, enabling residents to practice directly on their smartphones. Many people have learned how to create accounts, log into applications, integrate electronic documents, and use online public services. Practical guidance helps residents master digital platforms for daily work and transactions.
To continue elevating the efficiency of Project 06, from June 1 to August 31, 2026, the Điện Biên provincial Police is deploying the campaign “Digital Summer with VNeID, Guiding Digital Citizens, Partnering with the people in Executing Project 06” province-wide. Under the plan, police forces in communes and wards coordinate with political-social organizations to visit individual villages to assist residents in installing and activating electronic identification accounts, integrating personal documents onto the VNeID application, and directly guiding the use of app utilities.
Currently, using electronic documents is gradually replacing traditional paperwork across many administrative transactions, medical examinations and treatment, banking transactions, and essential services. Dissemination activities also contribute to raising public awareness regarding electronic identification and promoting online public service utilization.
Popularizing VNeID utilities is driving positive shifts in building digital government and digital society in Điện Biên province. When citizens proactively use electronic identification, integrate personal documents, and perform online public services, administrative reform efficiency continues to be elevated, creating a solid foundation to deeply deploy digital transformation tasks across the province.
