Điện Biên receives VND 5 billion for social welfare projects

ĐBP - This morning (March 24), the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Điện Biên province held a ceremony to receive financial support for social welfare projects and post-typhoon recovery efforts.

The funding, totaling VND 5 billion, was donated by the VFF Committee of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu province. The entire amount was funded by local agencies, organizations, businesses, officials, soldiers, and residents of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu.

This donation will be used to support the construction of Chiềng Sơ ethnic boarding secondary School in Điện Biên Đông district. Previously, in the first phase of support, Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu province had contributed VND 2 billion to help Điện Biên recover from the effects of Typhoon No.3.

In recent years, Điện Biên has received various donations to implement social welfare programs, such as building solidarity houses, eliminating temporary shelters, and recovering from natural disasters. Moving forward, the province hopes to continue receiving funding to expand its social welfare initiatives.
