The STEAM for Vietnam Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote activities related to STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in Vietnam. To date, the foundation has organized over 25 courses and events, benefiting more than 90,000 students and teachers across 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

Notably, “Train the Trainers 2025”is a nationwide AI training program that is entirely free. In Điện Biên, the STEAM for Vietnam Foundation aims to make the province a pioneer in spreading AI applications and training for all teachers.
The foundation’s goal is to help teachers in Điện Biên gain a thorough understanding of AI and related technologies, particularly how generative AI can support and enhance teaching. Teachers will also learn how to utilize AI to design lesson plans, develop teaching materials, and create more innovative classrooms using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and other platforms.

Additionally, the course will equip teachers with more effective teaching and assessment techniques through AI applications, ranging from test planning and evaluation to personalized learning for each student. It will also introduce educators to basic programming and the application of AI in teaching and classroom management. A key component of the course will focus on risk management in AI usage, personal data protection, and ensuring ethical considerations when integrating AI into education.

During the working session, Điện Biên’s delegates highly appreciated the training program organized by the STEAM for Vietnam Foundation, recognizing its significant benefits for the province’s teaching staff. The delegates also discussed the steps for implementing the training program, class organization models, and the assignment of roles and responsibilities between the province and the STEAM for Vietnam Foundation.

The participants agreed to hold an opening ceremony in both in-person and online formats, involving a large number of lecturers, trainees, provincial representatives, and representatives from the STEAM for Vietnam Foundation. Additionally, they proposed training a core team of IT educators within the education sector, ensuring that trainees participate with seriousness and high quality, and that the course content aligns with the local conditions.
