Continuing pioneering and volunteer tradition

ĐBP - Amidst the sunny days of June, the signature blue shirts are visible across all villages and hamlets of Mường Nhé commune. From assisting poor households and supporting exam candidates to sharing with disadvantaged children, the local youth are extending their pioneering and volunteer traditions with a deep sense of responsibility, compassion, and solidarity.

Previously, although supported by the Ministry of Public Security in building a house, difficult circumstances prevented Lỳ Chừ Xá from constructing a separate kitchen. The temporary kitchen, put together with old materials, degraded after multiple rainy seasons, posing ongoing safety risks.

After his situation was shared and campaigned for by the Mường Nhé commune Youth Union, the initiative successfully mobilized more than VND 11 million, alongside the physical support of 10 youth union members who assisted in transporting materials, erecting the framework, roofing, and finalizing the structure. Within a short period, the spacious and sturdy new kitchen was completed and handed over for use.

Lỳ Chừ Xá shared his gratitude: “I am very happy and grateful. Thanks to the union members and those who helped, I now have a clean, beautiful, and much sturdier place to cook. I no longer have to worry every time the rainy season arrives.”

Youth union members of Mường Nhé commune support candidates during the 2026 High School Graduation Exam.

In addition to caring for disadvantaged households, the youth of Mường Nhé dedicate special care to local children. Responding to the 2026 Action Month for Children and the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, on the occasion of International Children’s Day on June 1, the commune Youth Union organized visits to encourage and present gifts to pediatric patients undergoing treatment at the Mường Nhé Medical Center.

Thirty gift portions with a total value of VND 3 million were handed directly to the children. These simple packages of cakes and milk boxes carried the deep care and sharing of the local youth.

Vàng Thị Mỷ, a relative of a pediatric patient at the Mường Nhé Medical Center, emotionally expressed: “The children are undergoing medical treatment, so they cannot play like their peers. Receiving gifts and encouragement from the youth union makes our families incredibly grateful. The children are also happier, giving them an extra boost of spirit to get through their treatment.”

The innocent smiles of the young children on International Children’s Day serve as a powerful motivation for union members to continue their journey of spreading love through practical deeds.

That very spirit was carried forward into the 2026 High School Graduation Exam Support program. During the exam days, the volunteer blue shirt became a familiar sight at local testing sites. From early morning, union members were present to guide candidates, assist with transportation, maintain social order and sanitation around the testing zones, and offer encouragement before the students entered the exam rooms.

Behind these activities was thorough preparation and a high sense of responsibility from the local youth. The program successfully mobilized 130 turns of youth union members to participate, while raising VND 9 million from socialized sources to fund the exam support activities.

Giàng Thị Duyên, Secretary of the Mường Nhé commune Youth Union, stated: “We always define that the youth must be the pioneering force in community activities. Whether it is supporting families in difficult circumstances, caring for children, or accompanying students during their exam season, each activity targets spreading the spirit of mutual affection and promoting the pioneering role of youth in building our homeland.”

According to Giàng Thị Duyên, the most precious aspect does not lie within the material value of the programs, but rather in the companionship of the youth union members and the joint hands of the community. This solidarity creates the ultimate strength for volunteer activities to become increasingly practical and effective.

From small construction works and simple gifts to hours of tireless volunteering under the summer sun, the youth of Mường Nhé are contributing to beautifying the image of a new-era youth. These concrete, practical actions have created a strong ripple effect throughout the community. Along the borderlands of the nation, the blue shirts remain present wherever young energy is required, writing continuous seasons of love with enthusiasm, responsibility, and an absolute desire to contribute.
