Building green lifestyle

ĐBP - Faced with challenges from climate change, air pollution, and water scarcity that directly affect production and daily life, building a green lifestyle has become an inevitable trend.

This movement contributes to protecting the environment, enhancing the quality of life, and creating fresh, civilized, and modern living spaces. In Nà Tấu commune, since late December 2025, “Green Saturday” has become a regular activity, attracting the voluntary participation of officials, party members, union members, and a large number of local residents. Under the direction of the Party Committee and authorities, along with the coordination of mass organizations, various forces join together to clean the environment, dredge canals, collect waste, clear bushes, and beautify village roads and alleys, contributing to a clean and beautiful landscape.

Mùa A Vừ, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nà Tấu commune, stated that depending on the conditions and time of each official, individual, or household, those who can arrange it will actively participate, while those busy with work proactively maintain environmental hygiene around their residences. Thanks to this, the sense of responsibility of each person in protecting the environment and building a civilized lifestyle has been raised. Many roads and residential areas in the area are kept clean and clear, the situation of indiscriminate littering is limited, and the rural landscape has become more spacious.

Canals and streams are cleaned by the people of Nà Tấu commune to protect the environment.

Promoting their pioneering and voluntary role for community life, the youth in the province always actively participate in environmental protection activities and respond to climate change. Every year, under the direction of the provincial youth union, grassroots-level unions proactively develop plans, promote dissemination, and implement peak activities such as “Volunteer Saturday,” “Green Sunday,” and “Youth Month.” Other initiatives include the Youth Volunteer Summer Campaign, responding to World Environment Day, Earth Hour, and the “Clean Up the World” campaign.

Lò Xuân Hạnh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial youth union, said that to concretize the programs and plans of higher-level unions, youth union levels in the province have organized many practical activities, mobilizing a large number of members to participate in environmental hygiene, tree planting, afforestation, waste collection, and the clearing of rural traffic routes. Along with that, the work of dissemination and mobilization to change awareness and behavior in daily life has been stepped up, encouraging the limited use of plastic bags and single-use plastic products to gradually form eco-friendly living habits, reduce pollution, and protect community health and the ecosystem.

Every year, women’s union levels link environmental protection with emulation movements suited to local conditions.

Parallel with the youth forces, women’s union levels also play an important role in spreading a green lifestyle in the community. Linked with the goal of building a green lifestyle, in recent years, union levels have actively responded to the “Anti-plastic waste” movement, in which women’s unions at all levels play a core role in mobilizing members and families to move toward environmental friendliness. Through integrating environmental protection content into branch meetings and seminars, members’ awareness of the harmful effects of plastic waste on health and the environment has been increasingly improved.

Pờ Diệu Ninh, Chairwoman of the provincial Women’s Union, stated that union levels have focused on innovating the content and forms of dissemination, linking environmental protection with emulation movements and campaigns of the union suited to each locality’s conditions. This helps members and women raise their awareness and responsibility in limiting the use of single-use plastic products, proactively classifying and treating waste at the source, and building green, clean, and safe living habits. Along with dissemination, union levels also promote guidance for members to perform specific actions such as using eco-friendly products, saving electricity and water, and maintaining hygiene in homes and village alleys.

To minimize environmental pollution to the maximum extent, levels, sectors, and localities in the province have been promoting the dissemination of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws associated with the implementation of movements on building a green lifestyle. Residents are encouraged to respond to programs such as the “All people participate in environmental protection and respond to climate change” movement and the “All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas” campaign. These efforts contribute to raising the self-conscious awareness and responsibility of the community in preserving the environment and step-by-step improving the quality of life.
