20,000 free bowls of Phở - Warming hearts of rural students

ĐBP - This morning (February 10), the program “Phở of love - 20,000 bowls of Phở (Vietnamese noodle soup topped with a rich, stir fried beef) for children of Nậm Pồ” was simultaneously launched across the communes of Nậm Nhừ, Nà Khoa, and Nậm Tin in Nậm Pồ District, Điện Biên Province.

With the desire to share kindness and bring joy to students in disadvantaged areas, from early morning, officials, leaders, civil servants, and teachers from Nậm Pồ District, along with hundreds of teachers in the communes of Nà Khoa, Nậm Nhừ, and Nậm Tin, worked tirelessly to prepare thousands of steaming hot bowls of pho for local students.

Mr. Lê Khánh Hòa helps prepare delicious bowls of Phở for students at Nậm Nhừ Semi-Boarding Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.

Each commune served between 1,500 - 1,600 free bowls of Phở. This program will take place every Monday, rotating among schools in 15 communes from February to May in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Mr. Lê Khánh Hòa, Secretary of the Nậm Pồ District’s Party Committee, shared that as a border district, most of local students come from poor households and face many difficulties. With the support of organizations and individuals, Nậm Pồ District initiated and organized the program, offering free bowls of Phở to impoversihed students.

This meaningful and practical program embodies the spirit of solidarity and compassion, providing encouragement and improving the health of students in remote areas. By ensuring students receive proper nutrition, the organizers hope to motivate them to strive in their studies and rise above their circumstances in life.
