With strong political resolve and a proactive, responsible approach, Mường Ảng commune has rolled out a comprehensive, well-coordinated and methodical preparation plan to ensure the successful organization of the election, contributing to what is widely regarded as a nationwide civic festival.
In line with the Law on Elections of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils, as well as guidance issued by central and provincial authorities, the commune has promulgated a full set of leadership and implementation documents, clearly assigning responsibilities, specific tasks and deadlines.
Following the completion of the third round of consultative meetings, the Commune Election Committee announced an official list of 36 candidates for the People’s Council of Mường Ảng commune, term II (2026-2031). Relevant agencies and units have since carried out the public posting of candidate lists and proceeded with subsequent steps in accordance with the law. The commune has established five electoral units and 23 polling stations. To date, voter lists and candidate lists for National Assembly deputies and People’s Council deputies at the provincial level and at Mường Ảng commune, term II (2026-2031), have been publicly posted at the commune People’s Committee headquarters and at all 23 polling stations, enabling residents to review information and exercise their electoral rights and obligations.
Carefully posting the list of 377 voters at the village cultural house, Lường Văn Lả, Secretary of the Mánh Đanh village Party cell, said that the local Party committee, Party cell and Fatherland Front working group have intensified public outreach through loudspeakers, village meetings and household visits to ensure that 100 percent of voters clearly understand election-related information and their rights and responsibilities. Residents have actively joined environmental clean-up activities, repaired roads, upgraded facilities and carefully prepared polling venues, ready for election day.
In recent days, along main roads and in residential areas across Mường Ảng commune, banners, posters and billboards have been prominently displayed. The grassroots public-address system has increased broadcast time to provide timely information on the purpose, significance and importance of the election, as well as voters’ rights and obligations. Commune officials and mass organizations have coordinated with villages and residential groups to conduct direct communication activities, integrated into community meetings, Party cell meetings and organizational gatherings.
So far, the commune’s Integrated Service Center has produced 20 news items and 15 radio features, while posting 70 news articles on the Mường Ảng commune fanpage. Banners and slogans have been installed, A-frame publicity boards set up, and Party flags and national flags displayed along National Highway 279, inner roads and the central area, creating a lively atmosphere in the lead-up to election day.
Vũ Thị Quỳnh, a resident of residential group No. 6 in Mường Ảng commune, shared: “These days, the atmosphere in our neighborhood is very vibrant. From the streets to the cultural house, everything is beautifully decorated with flags and flowers, creating an uplifting mood ahead of the election. We have been fully informed about the voting time and locations, as well as our rights and obligations, so everyone clearly understands their responsibility.”
Identifying public security and order as a key factor in ensuring a successful election, the Security and Public Order Sub-committee has developed and implemented plans for the periods before, during and after election day. Functional forces have strengthened situational monitoring and taken proactive measures to prevent, detect and counter hostile plots and criminal activities, ensuring that no unexpected or disruptive incidents occur and that the election is conducted in a democratic, equal and lawful manner.
Hà Thị Thanh Tâm, Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Mường Ảng commune, said that with the active engagement of the entire political system, thorough grassroots preparations and a strong sense of responsibility among voters, Mường Ảng commune is fully ready for the national election day. “Each ballot represents both a right and a civic duty toward the development of the locality and the country. We are confident that the election in the commune will take place in a democratic, lawful and safe manner, truly becoming a festival for all people.”
