Across the commune, five electoral units and 23 Polling Areas have been established. Recognizing the importance of the event, Mường Ảng commune police have proactively rolled out comprehensive operational plans and measures to firmly safeguard security and public order before, during and after the election.
Lieutenant Colonel Lò Văn Thuận, Chief of the Mường Ảng commune Police, said the force has closely followed guidance from the provincial police leadership while actively advising the commune Party Committee and People’s Committee on plans to ensure security and public order throughout the election preparation and organization process. The work has been carried out under the principle of “clear personnel, clear tasks, clear timelines, clear responsibilities, clear outcomes and clear effectiveness”, helping tighten local management while effectively preventing and combating crime and legal violations in the run-up to and during the election.
The commune Police has stepped up public awareness campaigns to encourage residents to strictly comply with election laws while promptly detecting and handling violations that could affect security and public order, contributing to a healthy and stable information environment. In coordination with the commune Military Command and grassroots-level security teams, the force has mobilized maximum personnel for duty and standby. Officers have been assigned to specific villages and residential groups to form rapid-response and standing teams to handle election-related security issues. Patrols have also been intensified to maintain public order and conduct fire safety inspections, particularly at the 23 Polling Areas and public venues.
To ensure voters can fully exercise their democratic rights, the commune police have worked closely with the commune cultural office, residential groups and villages while effectively using the national population database to review and verify voter information. More than 11,900 voters have been compiled and publicly listed at 23 Polling Areas. Reviewing, compiling and posting voter lists, especially for voters who have changed residence, those stripped of voting rights or those with travel difficulties, has been identified as a key task in ensuring the success of election day.
Major Bùi Thọ Thức, an officer with the public order police unit of Mường Ảng commune police, said: “To ensure the election proceeds smoothly, we have intensified patrols and inspections while closely monitoring the local security situation and polling areas. Commune police officers are on standby and coordinating closely with on-site forces to promptly detect and handle any emerging situations, preventing complicated incidents from occurring.”
Lường Văn Lả, Secretary of the Party cell of Mánh Đanh village and Deputy Head of Polling Area No.16, said the polling team has maintained close coordination with commune police to stay updated on the local situation while promoting public awareness so residents strictly comply with regulations and participate fully in the election. Thanks to effective coordination between the polling team and police forces, the election process has been conducted safely, democratically and in accordance with the law.
With a proactive and responsible spirit and close coordination among all forces, Mường Ảng commune police are implementing synchronized measures to ensure security and public order before, during and after election day. Thorough preparation at the grassroots level not only helps maintain local stability but also strengthens voters’ confidence, enabling them to cast their ballots with peace of mind. As a result, the election is expected to take place safely, democratically and in line with the law - truly a nationwide festival of the people.
