At the conference, Associate Professor, PhD Phan Đình Tuấn, from the Institute for Circular Economy Development, presented the fundamental concepts of the green economy and green growth strategy, including the origins, concepts, and characteristics of a green economy, as well as its principles and roles. He emphasized that the green economy is a harmonious combination of three factors: economic, social, and environmental, aimed at sustainable development, reducing emissions, protecting natural resources, and adapting to climate change. Developing a green economy helps to realize the integration of these factors, improve quality of life, enhance the social environment, and minimize environmental risks.

The steering committee requests that scientists, policy researchers, and economic planners discuss and answer questions so that the leadership and implementation of green economic development and green growth strategies can be effective. Through this conference, we aim to help our leadership and management officials update their knowledge and orientation on transitioning the growth model towards being green and sustainable, contributing to the realization of economic development goals linked with environmental protection, for a green, clean, and harmoniously developed Điện Biên.”
