This is the second rice crop in which Điện Biên province has implemented the model, with a total area of over 76 hectares. Specifically, Mường Thanh ward covers 39.04 hectares, Thanh An commune 18.97 hectares, and Thanh Yên commune 18.56 hectares.

The funding is partially supported by NetZero Carbon Company, including biological products, emission measurement technology, training, and a mechanism for purchasing carbon credits at USD 10 per ton of CO2e reduced.

On-site inspections showed that the rice in the model is growing and developing well; farmers strictly follow the technical process of alternate wetting and drying (AWD) cultivation and use ECO-OK biological products.

Vice Chairman Lò Văn Cương requested localities to specifically evaluate the effectiveness of the model and, on that basis, study and expand the cultivated area and replicate the model. At the same time, he emphasized the need to strengthen communication and encourage farmers not to burn straw after harvest to protect the environment, as well as to participate in creating flower-lined field paths to enhance the ecological landscape in support of community-based tourism development.
