This period marks the peak of the 2025 Personal Income Tax (PIT) finalization cycle. To ensure that units and taxpayers clearly understand the regulations, fulfill their obligations correctly, and minimize errors during the declaration process, the provincial tax sector has proactively deployed numerous practical support solutions to accompany taxpayers throughout this high-demand season.
PIT finalization is a fundamental responsibility for both income-paying organizations and individuals with taxable income, serving to accurately determine the amount of tax payable or the refund due for the year. During March, the peak month for the 2025 tax finalization, the tax authorities significantly ramped up propaganda and guidance efforts to ensure taxpayers were well-versed in the necessary processes and procedures.
Trần Ngọc Trí, Team Leader of the Enterprise Management Team at Tax Unit 4, noted that the unit has deployed a variety of support formats including online assistance and guidance through Zalo and Facebook groups, as well as electronic tax systems. Additionally, dedicated officials have been stationed at reception and processing departments to promptly resolve issues related to tax policies, declaration software, and online submissions.
Within the jurisdiction of Tax Unit 4, there are currently 120 units and 159 enterprises and cooperatives performing PIT finalization. Tax officials have directly visited these entities to guide taxpayers through the steps of electronic declaration and submission. Through the electronic tax service system, the tasks of declaring, submitting, and looking up information are performed conveniently and rapidly. Furthermore, the tax authorities provide detailed instructions on reviewing income sources, family circumstance deductions, insurance contributions, and charitable donations to ensure tax obligations are determined with precision, while also supporting tax refund procedures for cases of overpayment.
The timely support from the tax authorities has been highly valued by many local units. Mùa A Nam, representing the Na Sang Commune Health Center, shared that Tax Unit 4 provided detailed instructions that helped their accountants minimize errors and gain a clearer understanding of potential mistakes that often arise during document preparation. By grasping the regulations firmly, the unit feels more secure in fulfilling its tax obligations and avoiding risks such as penalties for late or incorrect filings.
Enterprises in the area have also been proactive in accessing policies and receiving close support. Mường Yên Co., Ltd., an entity operating in Na Sang commune, received specific guidance on applying regulations such as Circular No.111/2013/TT-BTC and Decree No.65/2013/NĐ-CP. Hoàng Thế Vũ from the company shared that for this year’s tax finalization, the business received comprehensive support, with officials providing early information via email and professional Zalo groups, alongside technical aid whenever errors occurred on the eTax system or declaration software. Online training sessions have also helped the company resolve obstacles related to finalizing taxes for employees with multiple income sources or managing family deduction records.
In recent times, local tax units under the Điện Biên Provincial Tax Department have simultaneously deployed support solutions for the 2025 PIT finalization season. The tax sector is committed to promptly answering queries from laborers, businesses, and individuals with diverse income sources, particularly regarding the timing for determining taxable income, conditions for authorizing finalization, and electronic filing obligations. Currently, taxpayers can finalize their taxes through eTax Mobile, the tax authority’s website, or the National Public Service Portal. This streamlined process involves logging in, searching for data, verifying suggested returns, and confirming or adjusting before sending the electronic file. To prevent system overloads during peak times, the tax authorities have upgraded their technological infrastructure and recommended that taxpayers submit their files early.
Recently, the provincial Tax Department organized a hybrid conference, combining in-person and online formats, at 10 local tax hubs, with nearly 200 delegates representing various agencies and units. Attendees were updated and guided on the specifics of both corporate and personal income tax finalization.
According to Dương Duy Bảy, Deputy Head of the Điện Biên provincial Tax Department, the increased support for the 2025 finalization reflects a new approach to accompanying taxpayers through the digitization of support activities and the standardization of guidance. In March alone, the provincial tax sector provided telephone support to 1,570 individuals and organizations. This enhanced assistance not only ensures that taxpayers fulfill their duties to the State but also promotes transparency and efficiency in tax management. Through these efforts, the tax sector continues to affirm its role as a partner, creating favorable conditions for the public to perform tax procedures conveniently, accurately, and in full compliance with the law.
